  • nice!

  • I use extremephysics for my game and it's really great :D

  • This is amazing! You sir, deserve a cookie. :P

  • "... one frame took 10 seconds to simulate" what the hell? so is it possible to even use it real time?

  • Wow this is nice :)

If you just want to make simple 2d minecraft water, try this:

  • matrebatre i am a fan of your work! I'm trying to undrestand your frustum culling but i am having trouble, do you still have the original coding ??

  • lol 10 seconds a frame is nothing. I've rendered stuff on a quadcore intel i7 with 8 gigs of RAM at 5 minutes+ per frame.

  • ok i have making a game similar to angry birds for a class. i have tried for countless hours fiddling with gravity and friction, but i still cant get it right. how would i implement this with a regular 2D game?

  • absolutley brilliant... great work

  • thats over 9000 particles!

  • @MrDimwit646 what? theres no way that can be right!

  • tutorial!! tutorial!!

  • uhh gotta pee...

  • 3FPS?!?! woooahh,, this would be alot more awesome if it were more practical,, stiiill,, I'm a HUUGE fan :D

  • Now if you made that spurt out of someone when they get hit, that would be win.

  • Did anyone else notice that the time goes from 2:35 to 2:37 skipping 2:36?

  • @gamehugs omg xD

  • @gamehugs well yeah I ate it....

  • @brokenboy27 #LOL

  • extremely impressive

  • can you try 300000 particles?

  • how did u made that small water? :D

  • What file do i click on to open it?

  • the program asks me the file "Extreme Physics 2.1.dat" and the download does not contain this. Is there any solution?

  • @Dreadnought2006: You're not installing it correctly. Use the install button in Game Maker, don't copy it to the extension folder.

  • @matrebatre

how do you do that? i have the same problem as Dreadnought2006.

i unpack the file using winrar then double click any of the gm examples and i get the same ""Extreme Physics 2.1"message.

do i have to install the dll into gamemaker or something?

im a complete noob as you can probably tell.

  • @SkemeKOS

nevermind. i have found how to do it now.

i just had to install the dll in gamermaker lol

  • @matrebatre Where is the install button ?

  • Amazing work :) I'm planning on porting my DLL soon for Gamemaker (iPhone as well) - see my video for some real-time particles. Considering the ideas I keep coming up with for optimization and multi-threading then it will be fairly fast engine.

  • Incredible work! That is alarmingly realistic.

  • ey matrebatre, zou je misschien ergens een example kunnen posten van het water in zo'n soort quarter-pipe? want met blokjes en driehoekjes lukt wel, maar met zo'n ronde hoek lukt me dus niet :p

  • daaaaaaaaaamn this is good :)

  • da's wel een héél mooi water. alleen jammer dat je fps er zo laag van word :)

ik heb het zelf geprobeerd, mijn computer haalde 10.543 waterinstanties, daarna crashde de boel

  • pretty

  • Holy bananas!

    That is incredible

  • how did you get that translucent effect?

  • @superkellerman8D

Do you mean the end of the video? In those scenes the particles are just 1 pixel is size, but the window size was 1024x768. When downscaled to 640x480 it looks translucent.

  • @matrebatre It doesn't work for me, the quality of the water particles is bad and it don't have the effect and i don't see good the particles. Can you send me the gmk of the water that is translucent? Thanks.

  • nice work ;)

  • Very nice, it looks really pretty when the particles are very small (and plentiful!)

  • that's very impressive. it looks very realistic to me.

  • Same here.
