ok i have making a game similar to angry birds for a class. i have tried for countless hours fiddling with gravity and friction, but i still cant get it right. how would i implement this with a regular 2D game?
Amazing work :) I'm planning on porting my DLL soon for Gamemaker (iPhone as well) - see my video for some real-time particles. Considering the ideas I keep coming up with for optimization and multi-threading then it will be fairly fast engine.
ey matrebatre, zou je misschien ergens een example kunnen posten van het water in zo'n soort quarter-pipe? want met blokjes en driehoekjes lukt wel, maar met zo'n ronde hoek lukt me dus niet :p
Do you mean the end of the video? In those scenes the particles are just 1 pixel is size, but the window size was 1024x768. When downscaled to 640x480 it looks translucent.
@matrebatre It doesn't work for me, the quality of the water particles is bad and it don't have the effect and i don't see good the particles. Can you send me the gmk of the water that is translucent? Thanks.
nice!

"... one frame took 10 seconds to simulate" what the hell? so is it possible to even use it real time?

matrebatre i am a fan of your work! I'm trying to undrestand your frustum culling but i am having trouble, do you still have the original coding ??

lol 10 seconds a frame is nothing. I've rendered stuff on a quadcore intel i7 with 8 gigs of RAM at 5 minutes+ per frame.

What file do i click on to open it?

the program asks me the file "Extreme Physics 2.1.dat" and the download does not contain this. Is there any solution?
Dreadnought2006 1 year ago
@Dreadnought2006: You're not installing it correctly. Use the install button in Game Maker, don't copy it to the extension folder.
matrebatre 1 year ago
@matrebatre
how do you do that? i have the same problem as Dreadnought2006.
i unpack the file using winrar then double click any of the gm examples and i get the same ""Extreme Physics 2.1"message.
do i have to install the dll into gamemaker or something?
im a complete noob as you can probably tell.
