That's not completely true, We want education for them and for that many initiatives has been taken by Indian government. Indian government provides free education as well other expenses like books, mid day meal for primary level education as well as bicycle for elders.
It's hard to imagine that on other parts of the world, girls are not encouraged to have an education. I guess being a Filipino has its perks. We all want the children to go to school, even if it means working as hard as a horse. Unfortunately, many of these children, including girls, do not appreciate the privilege that is given to us by our culture.
So do Indians, lol education is hugge there...but I think its at the smaller villages that this problem resides. There are far too many small farming villages in India where girls learn for a little while until theyre married. This is a really good cause.
@telai08 Unfortunately, in the Philippines, more and more poor children are also facing the reality of not being able to go to school so they could work and provide for the family. It's really quite sad to see. As long as the government stays corrupt, I'm afraid the poorest of our countrymen are going to get poorer.
There are 4 classes. The Brahmanical class/priest, soldier, business man and worker
These classes exist every where in the world irrespective of religion. If you look further, even within animals.
Most of the people, are worker in America and western countries. When workers are paid well, they dont know how to spend the money, they become better drunkards, drug addicts and womanizers. Brahmanical class is missing in the western countries, though blessed for religious freedom.
Sharing, Justice and Peace on a world scale will end starvation, inequality, and war permanently.

Ah, perhaps, but the Indian Government ruled the caste system to be illegal, yet it still goes on, doesn't it?
