@trobi The color of the smoke is normal for regeneration. Extra diesel is injected at the end of the combustion, so unburnt diesel gets to the dpf. It ignites there and burns the soot.
Does anybody find it strange that we use this type of filter to prevent soot from being expelled into our atmosphere and when it gets clogged we just have it cough everything out, like exactly where we started from. I mean shouldn't we capture it in a bag or something? This is done for trucks, I know, but why not at the shops where they already have a fume extraction system.
*FAKE* ! You are showing an oil burning faulty petrol engine. That is NOT a diesel. The diesel engine in a 1.9 is only 150BHP for a start and the instrument panel is from a petrol engined Astra H. The diesel redline is 4500 RPM, no diesel engines used by GM/Vauxhall (fiat in the 1.9) rev up to 6500RPM!!!! You muppet! There is no software for a laptop that forces regeneration and you didn't even have the computer connected to the diagnostics port! Good try, but completely fake. Why lie???
Dude, if you know so much about this car then you should also know this is the intrument panel for the Astra H OPC, just like the front bumper, wheels, steer, ... which perfectly fits any other Astra H. The reason I have (actually HAD) 185bhp is because I reprogrammed the ECU. ALSO there IS a third party software that simulates the real - by dealers used - OPEL computer, with all the same functions and with a OBD cable. You can find it on ebay straight away.
Since you're so smart, you should also know you can connect the ebay-delivered OBD cable into the OBD port under the handbrake, and connect the other (USB) end into ANY laptop. So, this being said, why are you so dumb?
@urbex2007 This is what happens. Its just happened to my signum 1.9. There is software that causes regeneration, I ve seen it today. Dont buy a vauxhall with the 1.9 saab engine. My dpf blocked and it blew the intercooler and turbo costing over £1600

@adamc260 Yep. Much less CO2 than petrol. But there's a catch- since diesel is composed of heavier hydrocarbons and has somewhat higher impurity level as a result, burning it creates higher small particle levels than petrol engines.
how did you do dpf clean at home? what software have you used and can you do this to the new astra j too?

It has to get burned out normal

Smoke should be black, not white/blue

This is forced regeneration! And this is the cause of the big smoke!
