There is no describing how special their music is; (mesterious? divine, unique sound) I am glad they took a haitus to take care of themseves so they don't burn out, would looo..ve to hear them once again; be like a rebirth or even the ressurection of THE WAITING.
@helitad Hey, I don't know if you know, but The Waiting are recording another album due out soon. You can check for details at their Facebook page! :)
Arielmoriah, thank you so much I am going to try to find it online. Does anyone have it or know where to find "Never Dim"? I'm on a mission to find it. I appreciate your input. Thank you again.
I am so excited to hear this. The Lord used The Waiting to minister to me after my Momma went home to be with the Lord suddenly in 99. I can't remember the song but the lyrics "I'm not afraid" became my anthem. This was one of the hardest things I ever experienced in my 23 years of walking with Jesus. I can't wait to get a hold of this new album. Please let them know that there are so many just waiting more. I love thier sound and it comes from the deep parts inside. I am thankful!!
I haven't heard this song in almost 12 years...what a great band! I bought one of the original "Blue Belly Sky" CDs when they played in Columbus, GA...it was a wild & fun concert! In fact, I played "Is This the Day?" (from that same album) on piano at chapel last Sunday. I think I was the only one who actually recognized the song...it's so simply beautiful, yet deeply profound. The Waiting brings back some of my fondest memories of being a teenager. Thanks for this video! Please post more music!

If you have ever met Brad, Todd, Clark, Brandon or John O'Neal, you will be the finer for it! What a great bunch of friends! I treasure my time and dreams with them!
We showed it at GMA in 96'. The band signed with Sparrow after that. It is hard to see on you tube but that old camera brought authentic scratches and flickers and distortion that now can be added in any home edit system.
This was shot in late June of 1995 at a Civil War era house in Smyrna, Ga. I shot it on using a 16mm Bell Howell Camera. It uses 100' daylight loads. We sent the film to Seattle for transfer to D3. We off-lined at the Magic Lantern in Atlanta, then Posted at Turner. We were on a shoestring budget.
Terrific song from a terrific group.
