Wow. .-. Watching these old movies make me wish I was a bit younger again. This brings back memories, I remember wanting to go to the ball and ride in a magic pumpkin with Cinderella, I remember always trying to sing to the animals outside like Snow White, wanting to be like sleeping beauty and wait for my prince to come and kiss me, awakening me. Man! I still remember the queen transformation! It was one of the most terrifying moments in my whole life long of watching movies... The only other transformation got me in terror (no longer validate) was that of the stripper in From Dusk Till Dawn.

From time to time I compared between the Evil Queen and Maleficent and still could not figure out who is scarier. I'd choose Maleficent but again, the Queen's transformation always got me in between...

I must have watched this film at least 30 times over my lifetime so far (I'm 18 years old) and I still cry my heart out near the ending. The film as a whole never gets old, it really is a classic. For being 75 years old, it really doesn't feel that long at all. It hasn't aged one bit and still beats out a huge majority of animated films made nowadays.

Just beatiful at 75 years young. Disney's first full-length animated film, all drawn/inked/colored animated BY HAND. All the CGI and other "special effects" of most of today's animated films are sterile, bland, mass-produced widgets compared to the classic Disney films from 1937 up through the 1950's. Maybe today's stuff is "entertainment" - but this film and those that followed are entertaining works of ART made from scratch by skilled craftsmen. Sad to see how disrespected it has become. :(

The thing about this movie is that you can relate to it so much as you get older. You get yourself into situations where you're deeply self-conscious but mean well (Bashful), your flaws get you into trouble (Sneezy), you try and be the lone wolf and refuse to bend to conformity (Grumpy), you assume leadership with mixed results (Doc), you just get apathetic and jaded (Sleepy), you play the fool for everyone (Dopey), or you simply smile, sit back, and enjoy the little things in life (Happy).
