Of course it's a pong. Not in a tennis or ping-pong game you can let the ball bounce back from the sides... We made a game in Second Life which was basically a pong, but if the ball fly out on the sides, it's out. So you could aim the ball by hitting with the right spot. THAT was more like tennis.

its absolutely awesome and unique and theres even a lot of awesome after-market fan-made games out there like a Defender-clone! as for the super color, you can just get any pong-console, theyre all unique in their own way. the one i have is very tiny and and comes in a red leather case which is ultra-sweet

The best Pong-like game I've ever played is Paddlewar, which is ironically played with the arrow keys of your PC. It's single player only, sadly, but the AI is very good at least...

The best Pon-like game I've ever written was called "Not Another Pong Game". I don't think I ever finished writing it fully, but it was perfectly playable and the AI was awesome!
