@Jazz0Vs0Metal Thanks for the advice - writing wierd for wierds sake is not hard. "Dissonant" is not hard, writing off time is not hard, outside of scale is not hard. Shred guitar is a lot like Hip Hop music and electronic music - it all has no soul that is why so many people are on youtube complaining about what happened to "music" - it lost its soul. I remember a time when people not only knew the melody of a song but also the solo - we invented air guitar because it fit the song so well.

I'm a huge Hendrix fan but I've heard everything Hendrix has done and the material on Bucketheads 40 albums is not only more creative but better sounding. (to me) Buckethead on the other hand is virtually unheard of but through hard work has become an underground icon. His music is spreading as we speak and and like Hendrix will carry on long after he's gone.somanygoodsongs

Behind his weird music there are patterns and lots of composing (BH read the "Theasurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns") and one of his biggest influences is Glenn Gould, who played many Baroque Pieces including Bach.

fact is, Music isn't bad just because it's weird, my father loves Baroque Music, but he says he can't listen to Organ Music, he can't enjoy it... Still he doesn't say that it is bad or has no soul.

You must seperate "musical taste" and "musical ability"
