@SlimWaluigi Your Grade point average, An A is 4points, B- 3 points, C- 2 points, D- One Point. F- None. You calculate it by adding them together and dividing that number by how many classes you're taking. God why the hell am I talking about school on a Perfect Dark video, that's insulting Perfect Dark.
I used to play this game all the time. I cant believe its been what, over 10 years now? This game was a lot like Goldeneye for the N64 just more futuristic. Great game.
@Hayato1992 haha i know what u mean now! haha when the nerdy dude says that its so cheezy but it was a classic moment of the game haha i can tell u r a true fan of perfect dark :)
i love how the music is like all secret agent and stuff at the beginning like a "Hell yeah! Secret agent!" . then in the next level, the music gets you kinda worried like "Hmmm, I think I should be getting out of here." then in the last level, BOOM! "OMGWTFBBQ I GOTTA GET MY ASS OUT QUICK!!!!" Good times... Good times. :)
This is a perfect example how midi audio files can be EXCELLENT for games!Just listen to what they have accomplished in this game! The whole soundtrack is EPIC! RAREWARE(formel official name of RARE) at its gold times!
@conkerzzz I HIGHLY doubt it!! An mp3 file has a size of 3.5MB aprox. and a WAV file 10 times more...The capacity of the N64 cartridges is 40MB...So,mp3 or WAV files are impossible to fit in an N64 game!
@4400seriesFAN Yo! There's no audio stream, the game does wavetable synthesis on it's rcp/cpu based on sample-rate-reduced WAV samples and a miniUSF file (a midi-like sequenced music format) per song to setup and play the instruments with various properties such as panning, volume, etc (as referenced in a USFlib life). MP3s are for speech.
listen to the XBOX version of this song first. THEN THIS ONE. if you notice, when the strings start at 0:46 they are HIGHER than they are on the 360 version. :(
@tecmo1 Holy f*ck, ur right, they f*cked up that string section! It sounded disconnected to me, perhaps because they re-pitched the samples that were meant to play the low and high part, what do you think?
WHO THE HHHHHELl ARE YOU switch this thing off allow me to assist you .... LEAVE THIS PLACE NNOOW... *hits in the head* another room w-what are you doing in my lab shut down the experiments i..i shut it down .... SECRUUUUUIIIIITYYYYYYY *bangs in the head* hilarious
Notice how this level and the second level from Goldeneye are "lab-type" levels, clearly Rare was thinking of Goldeneye when this game was in developement.
@songotenz02 Agreed. And from sone pretty unexpected sources like Perfect Dark, Halo (not a huge fan of the game but no one can deny its brilliant compositions), even Command and Conquer Tiberian Sun. Oops, forgot Starcraft.
The tune reminds me of Frigate from Goldeneye007, does it anyone else? :D

@hopintheroflcopter it's not used in-game, I'm pretty sure it's just extra pieces that had no purpose is game like Crashsite X or pelagic II X

@blaster00000 Gotcha! Thought so. I sometimes thought i missed-out on a part of the game! xD
hopintheroflcopter 6 months ago
@hopintheroflcopter
Actually, All missions have an X for when something intense happens.
For example; Attack Ship X plays when you kill the Skedar in the main control room,
and Carrington Villa X is when the Secretary is held hostage (Beginning of game).
The only one that I missed out on is dD Investigation.
But keep in mind there is the difficulties; (Perfect Agent ;P)

Yea in the XBL version they changed some of the songs up very slighty.
I honestly don't know why because the original tracks were really good and didn't need to be adjusted...
