  • A beautiful montage, rekindling memories and illuminating marketing in foreign countries. I'm sure Sir Nayland Smith would approve ;-)

    And as much as I have enjoyed the work of Karloff, Oland and Ms Wong, the films never generated the flesh crawling power of these books.

    I wish United Van Lines hadn't "lost" my set of Fu Manchu books.

  • Yeah, I know. I've read (and enjoyed) all of Rohmer's Fu books. The drooping mustache must have started in the movies. Don't ya think...?

  • Interesting detail--Fu Manchu in the novels is described over and over again as cleanshaven. No drooping moustache. Really.
