Hi Kyla, my friend reminded me that Linda will be unveiling education tools to walk you through the Game of Contact. In the meantime, I could give you bit more about my interpretation and how it's worked with me and my horses. Might be easier if I had your email or we could hook up on Parelii connect. Lisa
hey Kyla- i'm still pretty new at the game of contact. i wouldn't feel confident enough in explaining it to someone, but i forwarded your message to my friend Emma, who coached me through it. it's an amazing concept!!! my basic interpretation is that your helping your horse learn how to use their topline and power from behind. i like to think of it as moving your horse from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive. lol. and you make a game of it, so it becomes your horses idea! it's fabulous!
Can you explain to me in detail how you do the game of contact? I'm struggling too with this concept and I'm starting to get it but I'd love a detailed explanation of your understanding. I know Linda has written about it but how are you interpreting it? Thanks
you understand why don't you....you have put her in a shoulder-in position on the circle and then asked her to control her rhythm with your pelvis. it is not magic but classical riding skills. not everyone is fortunate to study with a classical professor of riding and there are not many in the usa. thank goodness linda has spent several years now learning from walter zettle (a classical master) and now is sharing the knowledge.
very nice riding. good luck with your future endeavors.
Thanks so much for posting your progress with these videos. You have made a wonderful change in a very short time.
