(2/2)Philosophically it says to the brain all is relative, nothing is sure, nothing is fixed, all is in flux. The same can be seen in the record "Premiere Panorama De Musique Concrete". This is musique concrete, yes, and with its artistic twisting and bending of music, it attempts to erase truth.
(1/2)Technically speaking, and even at it's heart, this is true musique concrete. It uses random noises to display, splits them up, twists them and shapes them into something else, which, basely described, is really nothing.Musique concrete is, philosophically speaking, synonymous to the art style cubism. Cubism, along with other styles, purposefully trick the beholder's eyes, twisting reality.Musique concrete does this, except to the ears.
A few other questions: • first of all, isn't "Musique Concrète" French? • where was this filmed?, I'm sorry! • Is this /available/ for download? • I'd like to say: I only listened to it, although the video is beautiful!! but I found just the sound made me feel, like I'm in the future:)
Love it! Both sound and video. The very kinds of thoughts lingering in my own head but I don't know how to get them out on 'paper'. Thanks for the inspiration!
@ChaosHVY Would you and all whos thumbs upped this like to explain how it isn't then? Or possibly come up with your own piece to show us what really is Musique Concrete?
very cool video, although it should be pointed out that most of this kind of art, even though it's outside the ordinary, most of the time it uses music which is, at least rhythmically, rather conventional. Even this musique concrete piece has still got lots of space for experiment. My last comments should good though. It's great to see such nice work.
the film is similar to cornelius but the noise is so interesting, i'd love to know what was generating each noise and how far from its original state it is.
Wow, I really liked this. It reminds me of an art installation I once saw in New York, which had the live performance of a musique concrète group called "Cream Credits."

Strangely enough, this is abnormally relaxing. It's like the Lounge Music of The City, you know? Downloaded it.:)

@ChaosHVY
I think you'll find it is,
Musique Concrete is essentially a collection of real sounds arranged, warped or altered to sound different.
provided he/she tells the truth and these are all real sounds, this is musique concrete

Musique concrete can be used in conjunction with other instrumentations to.
e.g. Kalamanthus (I think that's how you spell it) is a peice for Kalamanthus recording, synthesiser and Flute

@Panasonic2894 I think that when it is mixed with real instruments its called musique électroacoustique :)

about 4:90 is my favourite part...."no sound"
always induces tension into a composition.

looool! yeah right after 4:85.
no, i meant around 4:50, where he cuts off the samples in an upbeat feel, with complete silence between 'em.
