I am sorry that you have been through D.V. I have been through it myself, so I do know what you are talking about.
But, the greater strength of men is no excuse for ignoring violence of women. Women, many times, use weapons of some sort to equal the strength of men.

When women do abuse they use weapons, but it is important to note that they do it only a tiny fraction as much as men, and even then usually with minimal injuries by comparison.

I know that u have been listening to feminist propaganda by your statements. If you like I will show you dozens of sites where you can read studies done that show that D.V. is instigated almost 50/50, not a tiny fraction.
You are wrong to minimize the injuries as well. That's like saying "Yes, I drive drunk but just a little over the limit. I should be excused because the men I know drive way over the limit." And women teach their sons to be violent by example.

there is no distortion of the domestic violence equation. there is no feminist lie, if you believe in equality and freedom for your mother, father, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and all those in your life you are a feminist. there is a distortion of what feminism is, feminism is not only about bra burning and sexual revolution. just google it and you will see. There is help for all victims of abuse. male or female. but there are more female victims who get trapped in a life threatening cycle

A woman walks into a bar and goes up to a man and slaps him across the face. Everyone in there thinks "I wonder what he did to piss her off so bad." A man walks into a bar and slaps a woman across the face and everyone jumps him, beats him up and throws him out. Look at the violence against men by women in film. That would not be tolerated if it was reversed. Can anyone tell me why society has this type of dual standard?

Look at shows that depict the husband/father as a bumbling idiot. Married with Children is a good example. JC Penny used to run ads with Dad watching the kids but failing miserably and asking "where is your mother?" because the Mom was at the sale. Tons of this on TV when you get to noticing. The idea is to discount Dad. Truth is, the judge that summarily hands the kids over to Mom in a divorce is the same judge who will be sentencing junior at 15 yro because Dad has been removed from his life.

My Mother was the one always slapping and beating us. Bloody noses and broken bones. She was the perfect teacher of domestic violence.
Men are not the men of 50 years ago and neither are women the same women.
As an aside: women kill their children at a rate of 3 times more often than men according to Dept. of Justice. Why???

True..Domestic Violence is endured from both sexes,but it happens more to women that we know of...it could happen more to men,but since men want to be seen as strong and tough not to many admit it so its seen more as an attack on women..sorry to those men who it has happen to and the women.yes,stop ALL violance.

Thank you so much for recognizing that. And you are so right. It's seen as a male problem because a lot of people profit from it being that way: women's shelters, lawyers, judges, mental health people, etc. This myth is perpetuated by feminist because it helps to empower their cause, which is power, not equality. They completely refuse to even admit that women are capable of D.V.

People! get your heads out of your asses. Domestic violence isn't a male dominated area. Women commit domestic violence same rate as men. Hundreds of studies prove it. I have have been a victim in the hospital several times. When society accepts that women are violent too, then a solution is possible. Not until then. When you look past the feminist agenda, then you will be able to resolve this terrible problem.

I don't disagree that female-committed domestic abuse is a problem but if you think that they're committing it at the same rate as men - you're the one with your head in your ass. Men are the perpetrators of domestic violence EXPONENTIALLY more than women. Read any credible study out there.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this but let me address a couple of important points here - first I meant CREDIBLE studies - like those put out by The Center for Disease Control, the FBI, and the Department of Justice-among others. I do not disagree that women are violent to men too but every single CREDIBLE statistic shows that men are FAR more likely to beat women than the opposite. See my next post for some links to start..
