welcome back home! just take it easy. i hear everyone has a hard time at the beginning.. but it will pass. congrats on your surgery! the loser's bench is almost there for me! so happy for you girl!
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the Losers Bench. Wow, they sent you home on O2? Wait at least a week to weight yourself, then you will see the loss! Go get some rest!!!!!!!!!
Congrats on your surgery. Welcome to the loser bench. As for the fluids dont worrie you will have to give your self some time and you will end up drinking more. You get alot of rest.
I am so excited for you! Why is your oxygen down??? Do they know? Could it be related to your blood clot disorder? Anyway, my prayers to you that there are no complications. I wish you well.
Welcome home! Bless your heart! Get lots of rest, take your pain pills!!! And your in my prayers!!! I bet you never imagined you'd be here, huh? HUGS, Prayers!!!! Take care of yourself!!! (=^_^=) Tammy
YAY Deb! Welcome welcome to the losers side! Hope your pain subsides quickly - and dont stress about the fluids and protien, it will get easier to get them as time goes on.
It's great to see you Deb..I am glad everything went well. I too hope you can get off the oxygen soon..I hated to wear it myself ,but I know it's needed. Everything will get easier as the days go on...Hang in there :)
Welcome home. I agree with most of the encouraging comments on here...drink, breath, WEAR YOUR O2! Take deep breaths to prevent pneumonia! Walk to prevent clots. It only gets better.
You can't go by whats on the scale right now since you had surgery and had iv fluid. You are going to do great! I am so glad that you came home good because I was praying hard for you! I am so glad your leg is looking good! Rest as much as you can and we'll see you when you are feeling better! Take care, jane
Thanks so much for letting us know how you are doing. I know it will get better for you soon. No matter if you want your water or not, DRINK DRINK DRINK!!! Don't give yourself a choice! It is so important to stay hydrated... this also reduces risk of blood clots. I can't wait to see your upcoming updates! As for as not weighing today, Nooo!! I don't understand why so many here weigh themselves so often. That would drive me crazy! I plan to weigh only once a week after my surgery.
don't sweat any of it deb, you're doin great! the o2 will go away soon and the weight gain is probly from the fluids they pump into you. the fluids are a pain at first but you have to make yourself sip, sip, sip...not till you hurt or hurl, but you know what i mean. day by day it will all get better! welcome to the loser's bench!!!
hi deb, i am so glad you are doin well the o2 sucks, i am supposed to be on 6 liters and i wont do it use your little tool with the ball in it alot, it is stupid lookin but it truly will help get that anestetic out of your system and try popsicles lots of sugar free ones , to get your fluids up, dont sweat the o2 use your little device thingy and i know with in 2 days you will feel 100 percent better and through the scale out the window ,
Hooray for you girlie, you did it! Many congrats. Hope your recovery will be smooth as silk and you'll be tip top in no time. You've heard it before, sip, walk and rest. Welcome to the loser's bench. Take care!
I'm so happy for you Deb.. You did it!! Now you are on your way.. I'm glad to hear that you are not feeling too bad and that the surgery went well.. (((huggs)))

Hey you are on the bench now!!
Congrats!
Were you given an incentive spirometer?
If not, do some square breathing. Breathing in from your mouth as if you were drinking through a straw.
In(for the count of 4)
hold (count of four)
Out(count of four)
wait (count of four
Repeat.
