  • Super...Super...Super.Merci.

  • Bravissimo

  • Little Walter a great harp player who left us way to soon, just like another great harp player

Paul Butterfield have a listen to Paul`s ` Blues with a Feeling ` I think you will like it too.

RIP Paul Butterfield and Little Walter.

  • He primarily played on Hohner brand harmonicas; the Marine Band model, being probably the most popular. He focused on those made for the diatonic scale, but did some playing on the chromatic type as well.

  • What Brand did he play??? anyone knows????

  • he shouldn't have left Muddy. He would have lived longer probably if he'd stayed, and we'd have more music. His best solos and overall work in my opinion, were when he was with Muddy. As for his singing, not that bad but not all that great either.

  • @callipposhots - Agree with your remarks. With Muddy Waters on vocals and Little Walter on harmonica it can't get better. Walter's voice is OK but he's a way better harp player than he is a singer.

  • how do you download good blues mp3s?!.. cant find torrents.. too lazy to download individually..!!1

  • perfect sidemen marks this side as classic

  • About a year ago, somebody gave me a couple of harmonicas - a C Lee Oskar, a few Suzukis in various keys and a Hohner Special 20. I started taking it with me when I walk the dog. Little by little a few hours a day, I started to get it. It's not really very hard and if you put in the time, you can play these songs.

But if I live to be 120, I'll never, ever be able to get the kind of tone that Walter got on these songs. He was the Hendrix of Harp. Changed everything.

  • Hi mickashworth

Yes, Going Down Slow is a good record; Roller Coaster is a masterpiece.

    Philippines.

  • quite possibly THE greatest Blues harmonica player of all time. having said that, i can't hear any harmonica player without comparing him/her to my Mom's step-brother, Jr. Carter. you've never heard of him, but he really was THAT good! died in an arson fire when i was a little kid after ruining his life with drink. appropriate for a blues song, terrible for a life. what a waste! RIP Junior, you truly were the best!

  • In 1974 i knew a man named Walter Peebles in chicago that could play that song .99% as good as Little Walter. Maxwell street was jumpin back then. BEFORE they tore it down in the name of progress.

  • We 'really-love' this song here in the Detroit (Michigan) area! For many long years it was the 'theme-song' for one of 'my-favorite' radio programs called 'the blue-collar-show and was hosted by "D.J. Ramon"! I just want to 'holla-back' at the brother and thank you for many many 'good-nights' of "great-blues"! "I" am also known as "Midnite D.J.!

  • @MisterCrash241 No need to include Michigan after Detroit. There will always be only one Detroit, and it's still a world-class city full of great people.

  • @40Waxx Ha! Ha! Aha! Aha! Yuq! Yuq! Yuq!! Peace & Love!!

  • Why did u cut the end off man?

I've heard it a thousand times at least but it still sounds new...

    Best wishes from the U.K.

  • @guitarandharp Absolutely! Harp solo in Going Down Slow takes some beating, though. Must upload that one of these days. Not to mention 'Roller Coaster'

  • Little Walter !!! Thanks !!! 5/5
