  • your not high enough your below the At&t line the hardline is just below the electric

  • ahmmm. yes, he is a rookie. first day on the job. see the video title? pretty obvious on that, no?

  • Why not just use the pegs in the pole? Ladders are for rookies!

  • Hes scared lol newb

  • what a squid

  • one day this dumbass is gonna step into his pole strap.

  • i woulda used the cheater steps myself

  • that guy laughs like patrick star

  • Damn that wasn't even a fully extended ladder. What a puss.

  • its got hooks...

  • These guys kill me there pussies it has steps i never use the ladder always pole steps or hooks other than when i have to do a midspan

  • funny thing is his ladder is just below the phone terminal ... must be retarded and afraid of heights

  • i see cheater pegs straight up to the tap. grow a pair

  • i see cheater pegs straight up to the tap. grow up.

  • better find another job if u r afraid of heights..

  • yeah..I have to agree with jackdan89..it's kinda COMMON SENSE..to make sure there is nothing that will cause you to TRIP over yourself while climbing up and down a 15 or higher foot ladder. I bet he's a CONcast tech and a newbie at that.lol.

  • @chronofusion that was charter... same cam operator from another vid that states charter. Comcast has training that weeds out people with a fear of heights before they get into the field.

  • @ServanoStyle and? I've known more than 10 different CONcast techs 3 different outside contractors for the company. so what. My comment was meant to specify the stupidity of that tech in that video that reminded me of CONcast. I've never dealt with Charter cable before. That company isn't available in central nor any part of the state of MS. And CONcast's training is a damn joke. It took more than 6 techs throughout 2 years to FINALLy look to see if something was grounded to fix a problem

  • @chronofusion I was just clearing confusion. Sorry that you had an on going issue. (or someone you knew) And I can assure you that the training is no joke. It is up to the individual tech to implement the training that was provided. Just like a fast food joint, do you think they train them to act lazy and not speak clearly?

And it also falls on the management to make sure the techs are following through with training...

Didn't want to bring up bad feelings. :)

  • @ServanoStyle you're ok. I just don't forget how people treat me(good, bad, bad & at least try to make amends through apology, etc)That's 1 quote i got from S.A.K.S. Inc Credit call center jackson ms "people may forget what you say but they NEVER forget how you make them feel." & I add "always offer more". You're right about the individual choice tech remembering or choosing to ignore his/her training. fast food? 90% of the time it's dumbass blacks in MS that are the problem there. cheers

  • @ServanoStyle and i have no problem warning people of the horrors that await them if they choose CONcast as they're residential service provider. However I WILL ALWAYS provide names of the few COMPETENT COMCASTIC employees i worked with and the two supervisors I will NEVER forget to anyone to help guarantee they have a better experience. Willard Spires at the Jackson ms ( now called, Retention center) & Paul Blanco at Madison ASC madison ms.TRUE assets to Concast. THEY ARE WORTH the chance.

  • ok well major safety hazard, he is suppused to have his strap over his shoulder so it doesnt get caught up in his feet when he climbs.

  • why use the ladder ? hook your way up to the steps and climb (-: screw that ladder.

  • He was not an employee he was the customer playing the cable man!

  • Put gaffs on pussy. And that was a ladder & he was STILL terrified. Who hired him anyway?

  • Try the middle of a 200ft midspan, 20 mph winds, facing heavy 4 lane traffic. Now that's fun!!!

Oh, then drop your terminator tool in traffic and have to unhook to go get it and then back up.

  • I remember those days.

  • I think he's scared of height.

  • pussy.

  • to hell with the pole the midspan is where ts at

  • The ladder should have been strapped to the pole. Plus it's a step pole. You don't even need a ladder!

  • What a pussy! Learn how to climb.

  • why isnt lanyard over shoulder

  • why is putting his hands on the rungs?

  • Anyone please I need help. I need a good study guide to the ncti jones exam. The study guide I was givin to me made me fail. If anyone can help please I would really love to do this but, this stupid test is in my way!!

  • Comment removed

  • @bongslaw23 What test do you need? I have the installer one but that is pretty much common since.

  • sissy steps

  • Setup on strand, if you can't hit your cable strand use the phone strand then to get to it. There has been times where i setup on phone fully extended and stood on my 2nd to last rung just to change a friggin fitting....not anymore though..lol Gaffing is fine when you don't have any obstructions, i gaffed when i 1st started, using the ladder is soo much better.

  • Why use a ladder? Its a step pole!

  • More butt crack.

  • the pole is ok but you will have better space on the strand I prefer the strand alot more.. but thats just me..and yeah I wish I could gaff but they dont train us anymore..

  • @PQZ ladders can be useful... Pole straps are stupid.

  • Screw all of you saying you want to strap your ladder to the pole. Its the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Real cable men gaff. And to the people "correcting his technique" Does your supervisor wipe your ass for you too? You know you have to use 7 squares folded twice to get supreme hand protection. Its in the safety handbook, pull it out of your nightstand drawer and check it out.

  • @Conansboot

    Real Cable men gaff?

So if you had a pole with 4 obstructions, you'd rather spur around them than put up a ladder to bypass them?

I pity the guys who have to work with you.

  • horrible trainer. Send him up there and laugh.. GJ idiot.

  • he's not even on the strand

  • Ahh the pole had hooks on it...

  • Thats phone, not cable.

    Title FAIL

  • 2funny....rooks

  • Lol, that's such an easy climb. Though I prefer to put my ladder on the strand instead of the pole, I feel safer, easier to work, and, when the wind picks up, it adds some fun to the job!

  • @kirbyyasha Hell no. Directly on the pole with a pole strap only way to go. No way the ladder will move at all. Im usually shitting my pants on a strand.

  • @wowOKlol If you set the ladder right, it won't move on the strand either. Never had the ladder move while I was on a strand. Of course I have my belt and strap too. On a pole, I just have limited mobility it seems like, on the strand, I don't have that big thing in my way. There are some instances where I prefer being on a pole over a strand. But 9 times out of 10, I climb up on the strand.

  • Why not climb the pole?? I don't wanna dick with the ladder if I don't have to.

Go get you some cheater pegs (pole steps)!

  • A couple of things:

1.) His belt should be over his other shoulder so he doesn't trip going up.

2.) He doesn't even strap on.

3.) His ladder is on a 45 angle (too wide), so he couldn't strap on if he wanted too.

    Grade: F+

  • umke, i agree he also is using the rungs to hold on to, and not the ride of the ladder. Then his so called trainer is laughing at him. When he should be showing him proper proceedure.

  • True. He'd be fired if he worked for my area and was caught doing that crap.

  • i was thinking the same thing

  • what a wuss We got taller poles in tijuana and if you now tijuana you shuld now that is got a bad geografy thats a easy pole soon ill make my vid

  • Ya, you guys have bad grammar too.

  • i dont now how to write in English but I speak and understand 100 percent and I do not live in u.s.a. you dick I live in mexico.. but you understand that no??

  • What I understand is that you are an ignorant spic, but I am glad you roaches have stayed in Mexico where you belong. I am hispanic too, but not mixed like you stupid Mestizos. Obviously in America the pole lengths can differ significantly from block to block. - Jose Antonio

  • newsflash hallofhealing the midspans held up by the pole not magic.

  • holy shit, how did this guy get through training?? we have to pass training before we can get out in the field. and that shit isnt that high, i gaffed out from the tap before and i still run up the damn pole. what a girl

  • give the dude some slack. hes a rookie. and as for the ladder on the pole steps..theres days i dont feel like getting an arm full of splinters when i reach the tap and wrap one arm around the pole to get my belt fastened so i throw the ladder. lately i havent had to climb at all because my boy just got the bucket and we basically bang out our routes together. makes the day more fun and a lot easier.

  • I think its funny when you pole climbers bag on someone cause they climb a ladder.

  • I remember those days!

  • the reason he didnt climb the pole is because he was new and probably wasnt qualified dipshit

  • Dumbasses, there are pole steps right there. Why climb up the ladder for this one?

  • Damn, what a wuss. We had a wanna-be like you in pole climbing school (about the time you got potty trained) who refused to climb a ladder too... washed out of the class because he was a wimp, said his wife made good money. He never made it past the fourth rung.

You were all the way up there and only had to go up one more before strapping on. Or better yet why not use the pole steps?

I'd have to say you are management material though. Those who can't do... manage!

  • lmao thats some funny shit

"I'd have to say you are management material though. Those who can't do... manage! "

  • wat a pussy, if ya gonna work, u gotta do ur thing..

  • i'd rather throw midspan

  • fuck mid spans you crazy

  • I prefer mid spans anyday over poles. I don't trust poles as much, just my personal preference. The other techs think I'm crazy too. lol.

  • LOL! I never did this when I first started! What a pussy! LMAO

  • Lol I was almost this bad when I first started...now, I try to midspan it every chance I get!

  • Haha, that pole isnt going to bite you!? Now try it without the ladder...

  • When I was younger I was afraid of heights. I got a job roofing and eventually overcame the fear of falling.

  • Lame

  • new tech whatever. get up that fucking pole and get the job done

  • throwing a ladder mid span is even more fun

  • you'll have dreams of falling for about 2wks
