  • I agree with what has been said before, the sound is definitely closer to 16-bit than 8-bit. 8-bit music tends to be presented with much more simple drums(more like white noise), a triangle wave for the bass, and two pulse waves. Good effort though :)

  • IT SOUNDS 16-BIT!

  • @miskellkyle no it doesnt, there are no limitations in this at all..

  • I suppose you are just trolling, but I wont be the last user to tell you that those sounds could not be made on any eight bit machine that ever existed.

  • this is just a general midi kit, doesn't sound 8-bit at all.

  • Was is hard to do the gif?

  • BAD

  • What video game is this from?

  • @606Zodiac it's not. it's basically a really complicated animated gif file i made after having an idea. there's more to it, but i got distracted.

  • this doesnt sound 8-bit at all... more like piano

  • @megawillmonds were you around back in the day of MIDI? that was supposed to be the basic MIDI piano... i'll give you that the look is more 16-bit.

  • this is not 8-bit, more like 16-bit... but good effort

  • @PreyingMantisMan the '8-bit' moniker was largely a nod to 8-bit theater. in fairness, though, there are maybe 16 colors in the whole thing (minus youtube compression stuff). i remember seeing more colors on my old 386. (and while on the topic, check out the original system shock - and keep in mind it was around about the time of doom, and before quake.)

  • this Don't sound Like 8-bit

  • it's loks excellent, but it doesn't sound right :)

  • @nrdesign1991 well, yeah; it was a self-wrought merge between the fox theme and a recognizable mario sound.

  • Oops...

  • I agree, Alegandroboquense. Scatandpounce is a total idiot, and he's even worse than Patrick Star. Scatandpounce is also a motherfucking bitchy shitty geeky cunt! He is a great big jerk and has bad breath. He needs to take a shower and will go to the corner for the rest of his miserable fucking life!!!

  • @MultiPrincessZelda Don't diss Patrick.

  • I guess we all know it's 16 bit, and that StaticEmphatic did a mistake calling the title an 8-Bit. But it still doesn't give you any right to call him idiot, and so on.

    GameFreak1000000:

It's meant to be like that..

    Hammermememer:

    It's also on purpose.

    Nicely done btw.. :D

  • Cómo van a ser 16 bits???

    IDIOTAS

  • This is NOT 8 bit. It's 16 bit.

  • No! Its 16-Bit.

  • 16??? idiot

  • dont cant him an idiot (IDIOT!)

  • Shhhhhh

  • Sound quality = fucked up

  • Huh?

  • Wow. La musique de Mario Bros. de 20 century fox.

  • Why did you have the two immobile lights move into the picture?

  • they don't move in the original

  • Comment removed

  • Great Fox logo. The classic Twentieth Century Fox logo with the slanted zero!

  • LOL

  • this is fucking awesome hahah

  • looks more early 16 bit too me

  • Do you like this 20th Century Fox logo, lionsgrr?

  • you should use this for a video game

  • where can i find the tcf intro from the movie "rocky horror?"

  • nvm found it

  • Nice!

  • Did you copy this off the original photo of the 20th Century Fox logo? This is your best work yet!

  • Yes and no... actually, it's timed. If you've ever seen the Rocky Horror original movie, including opening, the moves and fade (and audio resemblence to a honky-tonk piano) all are imitated/duplicated/parodied.

  • A parody of the 1978 logo!

  • it sounds a little like prince of pershia

  • That's awesome!

  • Cool!

  • I think it's taken from a GameBoy Video Game.

  • I'll take that as a compliment... No, built it completely.

  • The end of the jingle in this video sounds like the end of Yoshi's Island ending music.

  • Supposed to - actually, it's the classic SMB '1-Up' riff.

  • Do 16-bit! LOL

  • Oh, c'mon. That'd be too easy; hell, the original version prolly can be resampled to 16-bit color with no major color change.

  • well, maybe

but the fanfare would be pretty cool

and theres also changes in lighting too

  • Mmmmmaybe - but only in the newer, 1999-or-so versions of the opening. This was based on the classic; animated, not rendered.

  • true

  • Can you do the Fox theme the same way you did this video?

  • Which theme? *confused*

  • The current movie logo with the current movie theme by Bruce Broughton.

  • Alfred Newman composed the "20th Century Fox Fanfare" in which Bruce Broughton conducted. The logo uses the current fanfare, conducted by Alfred's son David Newman.

  • I know, just found out not too long ago.

  • I'll see if I can find it.

  • That had better be a spoof!

  • It is.

  • they shoulda usd somethin liek that for the older fox games

  • dude thas reall good can u do this 4 other logos?

  • Prolly. Challenges are fun anyway.

  • how did u make it anyway?

  • Made sprites in photoshop, used a gif animator to move 'em, and a tablature program to create the decent-but-still-electronic sounding audio. The mix and remix of the various themes was done with me own creative discretion involved.

  • thats cool

how did u make sprites in photoshop? what version you have?

  • I imported the original logo, thought about the pieces a bit, and then just made a few outlines using the pencil tool. Oh, and did it at half resolution - so I could size it up for the 'pixelated' effect.

  • thats very cool!

i'll need to try it sometime

  • My chin fell 6 feet! That's GREAT!

  • Damn dude, thats really good!
