A Legacy of Hatred ! Oh the power of example! Acts like this only create a negative image and works in the opposite. How more effective a protest of peaceful objection would have been. Violence begets violence, hatred begets hatred. A clear picture planted in the mind and heart of youth is all it takes to change a generation. Acts of violence kindle strife. Life's field will harvest what is planted in it be it thorns or flowers. Is this a mirror of "the change we can believe in?"
what a waste - both the riots and the response illustrates that nothing at all was learned or gained from oscar's tragic death. both oscar and mehserle were victims, although oscar paid a much higher price. but the whole police state is about trying to control the personal liberty of other people, and that's just not gonna happen. what a travesty!
