I worked 20 years in daycare/preschool facilities and before I closed up, I walked around the facility and looked everywhere before I closed up for the night. That is irresponsible on the daycare's part not to notice the baby int he crib. it seems like the owner is trying not to admit fault by saying the baby wasn't signed in that's crap....The teachers should of known the number's all day long.

This is why in Canada (and other educated countries) we have a very smart system where this is a limit to how many children a day care taker can have. Every person is assigned for the same 4 children for example. Logical, no?

Also, the spokesperson is not very smart. "I don't want to point fingers". HAHA. The Day Care should assume FULL responsibility and apologize. Point fingers? The employees should have made sure that all mothers sign when dropping off kids. This happened in the USA right?

So the mother forgot to check the child in when she dropped her it off. It sounds more like the mother doesn't like paying for the extra time when she is late. The mother was probably late since all the other children had been picked up by then. So she doesn't check the child in so that when the bill comes due records show that she never dropped her child off that day.
