Make sure that you dodge when you see the energy waves coming at you, but be wary of dodging off the edge of the stage. Also, just keep firing away at her, if you're locked on and there's not a pillar right in front of you, just keep firing; keep working at it and you'll get it eventually (it took me while my first time too. :-p).
