If they had just stopped the Germans from evacuating Sicily by putting the Navy to work and worked with the Badaglio gov't when they switched sides, the Allies could have had all of Italy in 1943 for less than one engagement on the Gustav Line. Then we could have had bomber bases right next door to Germany

Thats wrong also, it was clear that fighting whit them was usless in that situation but some forces fight some of them becouse they were atacked by them and some becouse they want to fight for Poland, but yea order from headquaters was not to fight if posible(becouse it was clear that French and British betrayed us)

@Ferschumi Actually, Canad won WW2 so that's one. We also won in Korea, so that's two. WW1 is where we made our huge debut and that's three. We also have done many positive things in Somalia, Cyprus, etc. So you are wrong, Canad has won every war it has been in in the 20th century. The last war Germany won was the FrancoPrussian war is the late 1800s.

@Ferschumi Hmm... On DDay, we were the first one to obtain our objective... We played a HUGE role in liberating Italy, we liberated Holland. We also were attached to many US and british forces as artillery and engineers. Don't worry, we did our part.

In WWII, we beat you in Italy, Juno beach, Caen, Bulge, we did a huge part in destroying the "mighty" Luftwaffe, we destroyed you in the battle of the Atlantic, we liberated Holland from you, we broke the Hitler line, etc. And these are just few of the many victories Canada had over Germany.

Canada pop: 11 million. Proportionally, we had as many troops serving. We were also VERY critical in the fighting. Look up the battle of the Scheldt before saying anything. Because Canadians won there, Antwerp was open and resources started reaching troops quicker which is VITAL. You can also thank us

@broed731 for the liberation of Holland after the US AND England weren't able to do so. We also played a major part of liberating Italy and we were the only ones that reached our DDay objective. You like many uneducated Americans think the US won WWII by itself an for that, you know nothing. Canada seems like they played a small part, but that's because all our operations were usually under the British Military and they take credit for much of our succes.

You also have to take into account the readiness of your soldiers towrads the end of the war. No army full of green replacements who had only 13 weeks of basic training and officer who were 90 wonders could be effective. Proof: The US in North Africa before Patton took over.

If they had just stopped the Germans from evacuating Sicily by putting the Navy to work and worked with the Badaglio gov't when they switched sides, the Allies could have had all of Italy in 1943 for less than one engagement on the Gustav Line. Then we could have had bomber bases right next door to Germany

For the germans this battle wasn´t deciding the war. For the allies either. Italy was just a sideshow. But a sad one, so many people were killed of a bunch of nations: Americans, Germans, British, New Zealand, Australia, Poland, France, Marocains, Italians, Indian, Burmese. The Poles fought bravely at Cassino. That is undisputed. However, others did too. The truth is that the Germans had pulled out by the time the Poles arrive. I have studied this battle. If anyone won it, it was the French. The French broke through and positioned themselves in such a way that the Germans had to leave or be surrounded. Also, the New Zealanders comprising Indians and British units caused a lot of damage earlier. Planting the flag is symbolic only, but people know who did what.

Poland was the first nation winning it and you lost. You just can't admit that after the 1939 victory when you defeated us with Soviet help(even the USA single-handedly wouldn't survive an assault like that). Seriously? Are you retarded? Poland won the war as one of the allies in 1945. Our flags flown in Berlin along the Russian ones after the Russian-Polish forces defeated the German Army there. STFU next time if you know nothing. Another thing- I want to say another thing fleeing in combat is losing so you can't say your fucking paratroopers won. Polish cassulties were 924 dead yours were pretty much the same, but you defended the hill so you were in a better position.
