awesome awesome awesome thanks for the upload

  • sampling Rocky music...nice.

  • why can't I help but strut while listening to this song?

  • Pretty much a straight rip of Bill Conti's Rocky theme with added techno drum tracks and assorted tech editing and pacing. But it does make you appreciate the original...so if it calls attention to that then it is useful in its way...kinda like how Dan Black's tune "Symphonies" relies so heavily and draws attention to Jack Nitzsche's "Starman" score. Sometimes the general public needs to be smacked on the back of the head to see and hear great music they missed the first time around...

  • @reallyf62 nothing in common

  • this song is rare to say the least =p its an awesome song wich i have many memories of, so im glad its still up

  • What a majestic song! 5/5

  • lol This is a remix of "going the distance" by Bill Conti. It came out in Rocky II when Rocky is fighting Apollo....

  • Strange.. there's a movie coming out called "Taking Pelham 123," revolving around a subway car hostage situation... I dunno if this song is named after some event, or if it has history of it's own, but the movie's looking to be a good watch.

This song, of course, kicks ass btw : )

  • The film that's coming out is a remake of the original "The Taking of Pelham One-Two-Three", a film from the early 1970s. The original had a very distinctive soundtrack & theme that was one of the first entirely composed by computer -- though for the film it was performed by a symphony. The theme from the original "Pelham" has inspired many contemporary electronic musicians; obviously, Deadly Avenger is among them.

  • Why thank you for the history lesson. Shortly after my post I found out about the original film, but as far as the soundtrack went I had no idea.

It'll be interesting to see if the remake goes to lengths to incorporate a memorable soundtrack, to match the original's impact. Noticed one favorite of mine used in the trailer:

Counting Bodies Like Sheep - Perfect Circle

  • This is from the album called 'Deep Red'.

It was a comcept album based around cinematic theme songs, and music that sounds like it.

    It is a good album.

It also featured a song from 12 Monkeys

  • "The Taking of Pelham 123" is a remake of an old movie by the same title. This refers to that.

  • taking pelham 123 is in itself a remake of another movie

  • I'm on my sister's account, but while listening to this song I deserve to be on the manliest of all manly accounts out there. So I apologize.

This is what I call a "Light Fight" song. One of those songs you can kick ass to, but it's not overly intense like you're fighting the source of all evil or something.

This is something you kick a bunch of skinhead's asses to. Or alternatively, if you're not a vigilante, exercise with. =]

  • i kicked some skin head asses just now. yes, i am a vigilante.

  • Is this really from Rocky?

  • Was on before kick off at derby got a massive buzz just listenin to this..unbelievable!

  • Shitt man, can totally feel my adrenaline following the songs rhythm n stuff

  • Fantastic tune

  • Incredible song.

You could bend iron girders listening to this!

  • Fuck yeah!

Try working out with it, you can do TWICE as many reps! :D
