After you put on your disguise you can switch to your secondary or melee weapon of your disguise to make by pressing B

revorver=primary

sapper=secondary

knife=melee

EXAMPLE: I just disguised as a pyro, when i switch to my sapper and press B It now says that I hold a shotgun or flaregun in the lower left under you health.

How to do the spy crab: Do the cigarette flick taunt. You have a 1/10 chance of activating spy crab.

Your teammates - or enemies, but you don't want to do that in front of them! - will see you walking like a crab. If I'm not mistaken that's what made them create de Spycrab Taunt.

#15: When cloaking it's a great trick to disguise as a scout so that if u get bumped into or caught in crossfire, the enemy will most likely think you're a "failspy" and therefore not expecting you to have changed disguise once you've reached the enemy base.

What i usually do is that i cloak as soon as i spawn, which only really works if they arent in your base.

The best thing is to get übercharged from enemy medic, that doesn't realise to stop it, then stab all his team mates around and finally shoot/stab him. :D Also in playload maps when everyone is at the cart, nobody usually is watching back, so you can stab the most of the team easily. ;)

When you are getting healed as a spy, you still have your team color healing aftereffect, the crosses. Even when disguised.

However, that only applies when you are healed over your max health, 125.

the most annoying thing is when you backstab people a bunch of times and they see your not dying they switch to pyro and start flaming every corner and get paranoid, this happens even faster when there are bad spies on your team.

question? i heard that "spies show no pain" that means if an enemy shots at you when you are digused your hp will not go down. so therefore in theory it is better to act normal and not panic and hope they stop shotting

True, and keeping your cool can work if the enemy is a little thick. But getting shot will also show a blood splatter on the wall behind you (which doesn't happen if you shoot a teammate) so if they see that, you're done for.

You know what the most annoying thing is? When an engineer or something "spychecks" you with one shot, but it happens to be a crit, therefore killing you. If it wasn't a crit he wouldn't have fired more, and you'd live. Oh, and paranoid pyros. God, life as a spy is hard.

Actually the first shot generally moves the spy backward. Team mates aren't pushed back by shots, so you'll generally get shot twice if they're paying attention.

i managed to live after using the medic and scout disguises, never once got a kill with either, but i didnt die either. if you jump around all crazy and look around like ur on crack or something, you may live. disguise as a medic behind a team, and unless you get a solid stare by someone, the team wont care what gun ur using.

If the other team isn't paying attention, it doesn't matter what you disguise as. If they are paying attention, they WILL notice a slow scout or a medic that has no ubercharge percentage.

I like to know how much uber a medic has, so unless they heal me, I usually check myself... "That Medic's a spy!"

If a spy calls for medic, it actually will display the person he is disguised as calling for medic in the chat.

Also, spy health doesn't go up when being healed, so any decent medic would realize that pretty fast, and spy vs. saw/ blutsauger will lose pretty much every time in a small area.

Another good idea on Well is to just swim through the hole enemy water section, and have a backstabbing partey.

Enemy players that have been killed in the time from the beginning of the round will come back at Ca. 30 seconds after you get up from the water, so be wary.

good vid... but the part you didnt them about is that when your sneaking around, it doesnt always work. Alot of people spycheck now. What I try to do is get close to the enemy spawn point and find a good place to uncloak. Then I act out as if I'm part of their team and usually backstab most of them (unless they bump into me and find out im a spy).

Thats soemthing else you didnt discuss. When your a spy and get bumped into, its like your a wall and they can tell your a spy.

If you are uncloaked and the sentry shoots you, cloaking will make it stop - once the cloak has has fully applied. This takes about a second, which is enough for a Level 2 Sentry and above to kill you if you remain in view.

I always suspected that hiding behind the dispenser to avoid a sentry turrent and kill the engineer. Be good for taking out engineeer camp.
