My friend I met at UNI told me about this sport...he was a small Irish village somewhere...never seen it before...but the music...the rain lashing down ...the atmosphere portrayed in this advert gave me goosebumps...pretty exhilarating end bit...

Hey people this ad took 1 fuckin week to make and our club, Ballymore-Eustace G.A.A. Club got 10 grand for the use of the pitch, great fun watching it being made, and as you can see by the guy taking the free he didnt know which end of the hurdle to hold. Good laugh.

Hurling is one of the most oldest, fast paced, dangerous, skillfull games in the world, it goes back 100's of years. It is also one of the most exting games to watch, i do enjoy watching ice-hockey, but try ice-hockey without all the pads, and your nearly at hurling.

i read once it was used as a training method to teach young warriors how to fight. kind of an introduction into pitched battles. their reaction time and stamina increased. geting out of the way of a hurl and getting out of the way of a sword are fairly simliar!
