  • I was watching game of thrones and I couldn't for the life of me remember where I saw the guy who plays Benjen Stark, now I know.

  • Poorley taken free, he pushed the ball away from himself lol, if that was real it would be gone closer to the cornor flag than the Goal.

But i heard they got an English fella to do the ad, Chirst they should ahve got me :P

  • whats the music called in this?

  • No way he's a hurler. Big dirty swing on him at the end.

  • i just noticed that town at 0:37 is my home town ha ha madness

  • @beanseeker my hometown too. It's our GAA pitch and Headon's pub. Remember when it was being filmed, years ago - there are some locals as extras too - recognise a couple of faces but don't know their names. Kinda cool isn't it??!!

  • No one laugh I play for Na magha

  • '' Score and they'll remember you for 20 years........ Miss and they'll remember you forever''

  • @concretetom1 : Never a truer word.

  • My friend I met at UNI told me about this sport...he was a small Irish village somewhere...never seen it before...but the music...the rain lashing down ...the atmosphere portrayed in this advert gave me goosebumps...pretty exhilarating end bit...

  • Ever got a smack of a caman or a sliotar to your marital prospects?? I've managed to get one of each so far and let me tell ya its a sore couple of hours afterwards.....still, I wouldn't stop playin this game for anything....love it too damn much.

  • @DJC11757, Try getting a sideline in the nuts from someone who can chip it over from a sideline at the 21

  • I'm guessin it happened yourself?XD ah sure they're all part of the game. If it happens it happens and all we can do is soldier on

  • @DJC11757, Yeah, even though you can barely walk

  • @DJC11757 yeah ...took a sliotar to the crotch once ...was incapacitated for 5 mins ...shinty guys wear cups, but i wonder how they run properly with them. i also took a deflected sliotar to the mouth once ...wasn't fun either, but it comes with the game

  • @DJC11757 Don't fancy one thanks, I got one on the arm from a particularly well struck cricket ball when I was at school that was swollen for about a week after and cricket balls and sliotar are a similar composition, either way I don't plan on getting in the way of either anytime soon!

  • @rebelliousdiamond eh . . it sponsored the GAA you amadán . . . . .

  • shit free taker haha hits it with the shaft

  • Guinness sponsor the hurling championship, the most Irish of games. And Diageo get an English guy to play the role of the free taker. That was clever thinking!

  • anyone know the song?

  • Hey people this ad took 1 fuckin week to make and our club, Ballymore-Eustace G.A.A. Club got 10 grand for the use of the pitch, great fun watching it being made, and as you can see by the guy taking the free he didnt know which end of the hurdle to hold. Good laugh.

  • Great Advert and Joe kicks Ass!

  • love this ad joseph mawle is brill will have to start a fan club site

  • Its Joseph Mawle luv him luv him luv him !!!!!

  • and my mum does.

  • Ice hockey is a faster game I'll give ya that. But I have FULL respect to Hurling. Those guys are as brave as you get. Complete nutters just in it for the thrill of sport. Gotta love that!

  • Hurling is one of the most oldest, fast paced, dangerous, skillfull games in the world, it goes back 100's of years. It is also one of the most exting games to watch, i do enjoy watching ice-hockey, but try ice-hockey without all the pads, and your nearly at hurling.

Nothing better than an All Ireland Hurling final at Croke Park.

  • We have been told Hurling actulay dates back befor christ that is wat they say in croke park museam

  • i read once it was used as a training method to teach young warriors how to fight. kind of an introduction into pitched battles. their reaction time and stamina increased. geting out of the way of a hurl and getting out of the way of a sword are fairly simliar!

  • that what my hurling coach says, your hurl is your sword, you protect yourself all the time with your hurl.

  • It's hurley, not hurl.

  • you are a fool, hurl is for short. don't try to correct me I do play you silly twat.

  • lol!!!

  • @kpcain89 What club??

  • @MrThelegend95 Been playing with the Harry Bolands in Chicago, oldest Hurling Club in America. That coach I was speaking of was Shay McShane from Antrim which helped coach the youth in Chicago for a bit.

  • @kpcain89 Ha ha! Jaysus man you'd never hear an Irish trainer say something silly like that! .....Somethin more along the lines of "Pull on it to fuck!"

  • @Slimdrum That true, but this was specifically for a blocking drill.

  • @ryankdunne It's been dated as far back as 2000 years ago :)

  • fuck up it realy hurts when u get hit by a hurl

  • thats opninion. If you aint gonna be respectfull when stating your opinion, then dont state it. You wanna know what makes me puke? Rude ignorant people like you!

  • I heard Hurling was rock 'ard

  • Real sport! this is one of the oldest fastest most skillful sports in the world dickhead sure you have ta wear paddin wat the fuck ye ana bout the ad is a bit shit but dont take the piss put of our sport dickhead

  • dont forget is the fastest field game in the world. I think
