Okay... I didn't notice the announcer much when I was there. However, later on in the show the LOUD music during the Snoopy flying doghouse vs. Red Baron was quite annoying. It almost made my ears bleed. Whoever handles the audio mixing please take note for this years show! :-O

I've never flown RC in Victoria and this was only my second visit to the RC air show. I've been told that I could fly at the Michell Airpark if a club member were on hand. Would be nice to find a good field here on Salt Spring to fly. That's one big advantage with helis, I can fly anywhere with my Blade CP.

Quique's overrated. He's good and all, but he's at EVERY AIRSHOW. Joe Nall, SEFF (WITH A GAS PLANE), Top Gun (A SCALE COMPETITION), and just about everything in between. I've also heard that he is a jerk. Too much QQ, need more Jesky, Hyde, Shulman, Noll, etc.

The reason they cant hover is all about power-to-weight ratio. Although there was 1 plane that was able to do this. All carbon-fibre and turbine powered.

With the hovering it's power to weight ratio and for most other 3D maneuvers it's the human body which can't withstand the g forces :o

I was just reaching for my camera when I heard Snoopy hit the Baron's triplane or was it the other way around??? Anyway, I looked up with the camera off and saw bits of Snoopy's doghouse fluttering to the ground :( Hope they rebuild him for next year =) I'll post before and after pics on Flickr.
