protect from melee does indeed work... it has a slight difference between a 200 hit and a 150 hit. so it does indeed work

just a little tip, dont use barrows armor for nomad. When you die at nomad you respawn at soul wars with your grave right in front of you. But, when barrows armor touches the ground, it breaks. So if u die u have to repair ur barrows armor b4 u try again.

No matter what strategy I try, i get him into berseker mode then run out of brews and restores, end up having to tank him some how, but it doesnt work, spent enough money on this quest alone to get up to this point, so is it really worth it for a quest cape? For me it's not, so to those who try nomad... good luck

There is a couple problems with the guide, prayer has no effect on nomad, except during the final quick attack stage, (during this stage use MELE prayer) other then there, you would be better off with black d'hide armor (mage protection) and soul split (if you can) if you cant, use protect from mage, because it may help a little, and there is no other good overhead prayer that isn't protection.

insted of rune plate i used black dhide top and rune legs, butt i was 81 range :p use diamond (e) bolts too then when the diamond do the spec thingy use ruby..diamond mess up his def then ruby hit more often :) hope this helpss

I got him at the 2nd try with this armor and pots and i got friends theres almost maxed out that have been used armadyl, fury, ranger boots and couldnt kill him, so i prefere this armor and stuff so much! yes... because the defense bonus of granite and d skirt is a whole lot better than armadyl, when he uses a MAGIC attack :P Proves that armor isn't what helps you beat him, its skill. You could probably beat him with no armor, since protection prayers don't do anything.

@wwekiller3 Because u have to range him, and many ppl are using full armadyl or void, i think i got about .. 10 of my friends were using fury, ranger boots, full arma, divine and stuff and some other used void and dfs and they died sometimes and got it all again. Just like me, i died once doing this quest at nomad but got everything back, so no worries.
