  • So what is the difference in build/install/set up costs between this home and a traditional home?

  • Zero Net Energy = paying for Solar and connecting to the Commercial Grid. Makes no sense why you would have foam insulation on the inside & outside of a thermal mass (concrete) wall! Thanks for sharing.

  • good video ..what did it cost to install all those goodies ?.when do you expect to get your money back ? if builders make this common pratice we would have a better future

  • Tim's a comic genius!

  • Cool video. Informative. Honestly not being familiar with Tim, I didn't know at first if he was trying to be funny or if he was that stupid. The jokes where that bad. But the awkwardness following each one was awesome.

  • Please, if you can't pull off the funny guy routine, don't attempt it. I mean, we all do it a few times in our lives and afterwards think 'Yeah, that made me look like an idiot...' But if your jokes are this bad, they shouldn't be on camera!

  • a goal we should all subscribe to, no matter what the energy source helps power it.

  • some of these jokes aren't even funny

  • Great planning and excellent work :) I hope you talk to a lot of people about how you did it and why others might want to as well. Kudos to you.

  • Smart video. WaterFurnace is proud to have its geothermal products as a part of this home.

  • Wow thats alot of insulation , my question is the cost what does it cost to build and introduce a zero energy house?

  • The energy used in building is as important as that used once it is built. A zero-energy house can use 30 years' worth of energy to build because it uses materials such as steel, concrete and plastic

  • @pegobuilders orly did you compare that what it cost to build the exact same house w/o the zero-energy add factor in the amount of energry produced and saved over the next 200+ hundred years? by building thing out of stuff that needs to be replaced less often

  • Sweet bro, got to have a house party!

  • Amazing. Beautiful. Intelegent!

  • Great.

  • Hi y'all. This is one of the houses Tony built in New Paltz. I am so impressed that I want to send it to all my friends

  • How much would a system like that cost?

  • Tim, this is fantastic! Congrats to you & David. Great job! Great house, technology, and... great acting! Love the odometer joke!
