I feel the urge to let everyone know that this was the band's 2nd gig ever. To this day, all four members of the band are spread out all over the U.S. They play together about 20 times a year at best; although 2011 looks to have more bookings. The point needs to be made to those who like to compare this band to the old crew: The "old" NRBQ, no matter which incarnation we're talking about, played together almost every night for 35 years. See what I'm trying to say? ; )
nonsense, all of you...don't you ever grow up? Terry Adams and the rest of NRBQ were never the same since they fired Pete Best....that drummer looked cool!
Q fan since '69. Decent Dixie, but if you want to hear it absolutely shredded, find the cover by Dixie Dregs with Steve Morse. The live version was staggering.
Is that a James Burton "Standard" Telecaster that Scott is playing? Fender have issued a guitar modeled on Burton's original Tele that he had sprayed up in red- I believe it's a Cadillac paint- Coronado Red or something like that. Burton uses it when requested to on sessions. Good Ole Boy.
Back in November 2007, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame honored Jerry Lee Lewis in Cleveland, and they were one of the guest performers. I was at the show - UNBELIEVABLE! They only performed two songs - this one and "Dixie".

Terry is about the most animated pianist I have ever seen. I used to follow "the Q" around like a dog. Always great stuff.

I would say, most definitely! This was only their second gig as a band. There wasn't much that WASN'T improvised at that point! ha

I am wrong. The Burton guitar- he got it in 1953 has a maple neck. Scott's has a rosewood fingerboard from about 1958 or '59 onwards.
