No. I've fought him FOREVER & he never dies. BUT, if you punch in the code 7441-2243-1221 you can get all weapons. Punch in the code, wait, restart the game, wait again, & then punch it in again. All weapons & tanks.

What's interesting to note is that back when this game came out inbetween 1993 and 1994, a lot of people assumed that Megaman X was literally Megaman 10. I guess the reason for this speculation is because "X" is roman numeral for "10". And this lead to some people asking; what happened to Megaman 7, 8, and 9? And those questions weren't answered until several years later. But it became clear to me that the "X" was simply an "X" to signify that it was an entirely different series.

I just got this for zsnes and it was in a minimized mode. When I clicked to maximize it, it says that my video card won't support it and it closes.

You can edit the zsnes.ini file. But that looks like a wierd bug, so you better off trying SNES9x or the newer BSNES.

This was the greatest Megaman X game ever. The first of the series and I loved it. No X game after was better than this. The following X2 and X3 were okay, but I just didn't like all the new unnecessary items.

actually I think X2 gives this a run for it's money. The bosses were better in X1, but the stages were more thought out in X2. The introduction stage music in X2 is also the greatest in the series, period.

megaman and megaman x are both seperate beings but they were both made by dr.light. and zero was in fact created by wily to destroy the original megaman. X is the only robot in their world with complete free will and all reploids are based off of his design in an attempt to give robots free will. but, it wasn't able to be copied PERFECTLY which is why X is the only robot with COMPLETE free will
