Roughly translated the title means 'What are you, some kind of pilchard?!' and not this 'universal love' that that Adriano Celentano bloke claims it is ;-)
Fascinating! After Celantano, this almost sounds like it might make sense but then it doesn't! Mike Smith was a true original.I used to watch him on Runaround - best evah! kids quiz show... there's heaps like it now but back it the day it was ahead of its time... Viva Mike!
You must be so proud of him. Great actor, great comedian but as for his singing ...... seriously though, I am glad he did this version of one of my all time favorites. No one else could have pulled this off so well. I even saw him doing a stand up comedy act once - bought grown men to tears of laughter.

Nah, I prefer Adriano Celantano's version. The driving drum beat is just amazing.

I love the original too, but who could resist listening to a "re-translation"? It had to be done, and I think this is great!

I don't get it. He's just covering Adriano Celetano's song. It's funnier when an Italian sings it.

@xphobe instead of singing gibberish, he's singing nonsense.

I am loving it!! Mad, surreal and funky as a monkey spanking a bass. Shame it fades at the end though.

This has to the be the best funk novelty record sung by a stand up comedian named Mike who starred in Eastenders and who is now dead of them all. ;-)
