it was dark because the skatepark isnt well lit.

the gl1 seems to have lots of lighting issues, because no matter what white balance or shutter speed i put it on its dark when the footage goes on the computer!

the gl1 doesnt have a lot of bad light issues. turn it on "sand and snow" and pump the exposure up.

should i have the N/D filter on at the same time also? PS should i put the sharp quality to the highest it goes?

NOOO. keep the sharpness at about 65%. i dont think i ever used the nd filter. i always left mine on sand and snow, used white balance. and adjusted the exposure if i needed to. i never used the shutter speed.

i used the manual white balance. i mentioned what settings i used in the other comment.

yeah. you can do it off different thinks to produce different colors. i like to do it off the sky on a clear day, it gets pretty warm colors.
