can you tell me why fiddlers like to clog up the fiddle with rosin? I heard it is just cos they are lazy but it seems so uniform in fiddling that it seems more than that- i read bluegrassers think it makes a better sound so what of the irish fiddlers et al?

I think there's two main reason's for Irish Fiddler's to do this 1/ If there playing alot of Gig's session's etc,, its no time. 2/ And the second one is,, Laziness.

But remember most Irish musicians and not taught in the Classical Tradition where that, care of your instrument etc,,, is drummed into you by teacher's !
