  • Oh wow so many memories I remeber seeing them at "Mothers" in Erdington...brilliant!!

  • This looks and sounds suspicously like a lip-synch. Too much mucking around there. Also many studio effects!! Also can he play flute invisibly and sing at the same time?

  • @GeorgeBurrell I know live they used to have other members of the band play flute during parts that required both lead vocal and flute. I believe Barry Barlow learned how to play a bit for just this purpose.

  • Jethro Tull is very talented and entertaining. One of my top fave bands along with Led Zeppelin :)

  • @ToscanaFirenze They toured together at one time. Zep was really into drugs and Ian Anderson was not. Plant coined the term "Jethro Dull" as a bit of a put down because of their rather tame lifestyle compared to Zep's "sex, drugs and Rock and Roll" excess. John Bonham Called Barriemore Barlow "the best drummer that England ever produced." after watching him play. Two great bands for sure.

  • Just, perfect!

    What a performance!

  • R.I.P. John Glascock :-(

  • @Nigelcf John Glascock needed to take better care of himself. What a shame it was.

  • @GeorgeBurrell Yes indeed. He lived too fast much like Bon Scott and John Bonham. Great talents all of them :(

  • Maraca dude!

  • TY mister Anderson.

  • I love this lilting version. And Ian's great smile with all those crooked teeth is priceless. I saw them perform a fluid energetic show in Denver circa '79-'80. My friends and I couldn't stop smiling.

  • brill record too many people do live in the past

  • double tongueing embouchure is unriveled..!...!...!!!!....big smiles whenever I here the dude!

  • Where i live all time.Ive seen a lot of there concerts------All good

  • fantastic band, many memories flood back with this song to RAF scampton 1968/9.

ian anderson and tull superb, 5*****

  • great channel of Tull stuff

  • It isn´t 1976 but 1969

  • Just EXCELLENT song, excellence performance!

    Ian & John are fantastic

  • This isn;t the band that recorded it though. That was with Clive Bunker and Glen Cornick.

  • bananas.........

  • it's bass guitar, not 'base guitar'.

  • Such class...

  • @Nuckpang

  • who gives a fuck,i do know this and so do all you tull freaks that like any other group tull in his prime which was 1978 kicked just as much ass as any group back then including led zeppelin which is my all time favorite,PAGE RULES,i mean my god just watch the live 78 version of Thick as aBrick and dont tell me that when Martin Barre rips into that lead, and him and tull start trading licks back and forth that that doesnt put chills up your back your full of bullshit, Tull Was One Of The Greats!

  • Timeless epic! Full of bright strange energy!

  • LOL! The helmet head drum!!

  • I didn't get to see Tull live until 2002. Ian Anderson delivered a great performance with the old hits sounding as good as ever, IMO.

  • ian anderson är cool! och bra med flöjten.

Marinette sköt om dig, mvh Mats.

  • It's a real shame we have to get old. Can't stop time though and time is rarely kind to us when it comes to things like voice and energy. These older Tull vids are great. Thank you Ben for posting this.

  • What is up with people? This is OLD TULL. THIS STUFF KICKS ASS IN A MAJOR WAY. Now, new Tull? Well that stuff is pretty sad. I hate to bask a group that I dearly love but it is like they are two entirely different entities. Old and New. Gimme OLD TULL any day of the week. You can have new.

  • There is an equation..at least Ian relished LARGE in his heyday...if you ever had one it is not soon forgotten...and yes...you may be able to bring it back , or just love reliving it all in your mind as your fingers glide over the past infront of those that want you to succeed.......Boo

  • I would reconsider calling it 1976, this is more like 1986, when Ian had a little less beard..

  • no he was much older in '86. and these band members weren't with Tull in '86 anymore (besides martin)

  • Definitely 1976 and from a show called SUPERSONIC, which ran from 1975 to 1977.

  • If only Ian's voice sounded like this in 1986...

  • HAH People don't like to hear that the new Tull is a shadow of its former self. Reality sucks. Just watch the old videos and new side by side and you too will be clear. I miss Old Tull. But I also miss driving my Mach I and 75 cent gas. Ahhhh the 70's. Whomever loves new Tull, you just have no idea how good it used to be. Like I said... go watch the vids of the 70's and then watch the very recent ones. Vids of their shows in the 70's are amazing. You WILL see the difference.

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh OLD Tull. Nothing like it. The shit they put out now is horrible. No offense but JT, you guys should give it up and let it live in the past.... :oD Ian is a shadow of his former self. The band is not tight let alone original anymore.

  • Better for you to live JT be and to listen to Jesse MacCartney.........there are so many others.

  • LOL If you had been to the old concerts and compared witht he new, you woul dknow what youw ere taking about. I was and have been and I do know. A shell of their former selves. If you think they are as good as ever... you are sadly mistaken. But hey, dillusion can be fun. I never missed a concert, and I have been to recent ones. BIG BIG BIG difference. So yeah, I DO know what I am tlaking about, bubba. :oP

  • LOL I was at the shows moron. Now... want some cheese with that whine? Go tell it to someone that doesn't know the difference. LMAO Blah BLah Blah

  • Take it easy guys. Underwraps I have to say that if you think a 61 yo man is in top form compared to when he was 20-30, you are sadly mistaken. And having a bunch of vids means nothing. Just cause a man has 500 bottles of wine it doesn't mean he is a connoisseur. It could mean he is a dork for buying 500 bottles of crap wine. Next the world will have to hear about your big 10" Calm down. You can like a 61 yo and think he is in top form but I bet Ian would disagree with you too. Chill

  • Have you seen a 61 year old Neil Young?? Just as good, if not better, then he was 35 years ago (I've seen both versions).

  • Tull was my first ever concert on Halloween 1971!!! So cool!

    ;o)

  • Kind of irritating that the camera is so focused on I.A. and ignores the other members of the group

  • This was the best Tull lineup ever

  • ah ian :] his voice is so good here

  • thank you

  • holy shit! Ian without a beard! I've only ever seen the pictures.
