Yes, I agree that it's stupid that they stopped the anime less than half way into the story. Aside from not meeting Rin the people who see the anime think Akito is a man which confuses them when they read the books.
*nods head in total agreement* Rin is my absolute favorite character u can ask anyone who knows me well i'm even ocd sometimes. but i am always like they should have at least introduced all the characters before ending the series cuz the anime only people miss out on some good characters.

great video Rin and Haru are one of my favorite couples the song is perfect for Rin.i don't understand why Akito cut Rin's hair short, *she* has anger isuses. I think even with short hair Rin is still the most beautiful charater in Fruits Basket. *sorry to those who didn't know the surprise Akito is a girl
I think that Akito cut Rin's hair because she looked too much like Ren. Since Akito hates Ren but can't do anything about she took her rage out on poor Rin.

Yeah...so if girls have long hair and you are not sure ifnya need to make it short..DON'T AMKE IT SHORT! My little 2 year old half sister's hair grows ever so long..and do you know which chapters are very harin packed(<-hasn't read whole sereis but thanks to Wikipedia knows most of plot. the do say 'Courisity killed the cat')
Most of Rin's story regarding her childhood years starts to be told by chapter 78, and several chapters following. There are some sprinklings of Rin and Haru before that. Of course, she's in several of the later chapters, such as when Akito cuts her hair, etc. Haru shows up eventually in them. You just have to start skimming through them. If you want to know specific chapters of specific scenes most I can easily remember where I got them from. So you just have to ask.
You know I can't recall right off since I actually have several images from the series that deal with the night sky. I can point you in the general direction though that I remember it being in one of the chapters that has Rin making an appearance. That doesn't narrow it down much, but it's a start.

They don't meet Kureno, the Rooster because he's shown after Rin is. That's a shame too. I don't really like him- it's just that I am a Rooster. :>
