Stuck on Memory Block 4: Jerusalem

@227928 You synchronized all the view points in the Rich District. Now go into the Poor District and sync one. It's blurry on your map and has no icons. Go due south from the Bureau as shown in this video.

i been stuck on this for AGES, it sed like 3 investigations are needed, climb viewpoints to locate them or something like that, well wot it sed in the vid anyway. on the map it showed no viewpoints in jerusalem which i thought was wierd. thx, hope it helps!

@bearwolfable Glad to hear you made it into the Poor District. The (passable) border between Rich and Poor is rather short in Jerusalem. I think players get lost and run into the blue memory wall to the Middle District. This doesn't happen as often in Damascus or Acre.

Any suggestions on how to make this video clearer on that point?

@thelankytank For the Acre and Damascus versions of this video I recorded how the map looks blurry before you sync the first viewpoint. On Jerusalem I forgot. :-O So I borrowed this map (with permission) from Firestorm of assassinscreed-maps. He had added the icons for flags and Templars.

@thelankytank Sometimes the first viewpoint only shows you the other viewpoints. Sync a few more but make sure they're in the Poor District! Some people keep syncing viewpoints in the Rich District and expect something new to happen.

@MrGedsta555 This does work. The key is to enter the Poor District through its short border with the Rich District. Start at the Assassin's Bureau. Bring up the in-game map. Place your user marker due south anywhere in the (blurry) Poor District. Now use your GPS to home in on your marker.

Once in the Poor District, find any View Point (look for circling eagles). Climb, sync and you're done.

I scanned all the view points when I first got to this city, is this necessarily a bad thing?

@Pat6578 Well, when you FIRST got to this city in Memory Block 3 only the Rich District was open. You may have synchronized all the Rich view points but you did not sync the whole city (even if you use an exploit to get through the blue memory wall, other view points do not activate).

Now, when you returned in MB4 and the Poor District was open you may have synchronized all of those view points before talking to Malik. That's fine. Talking to the Rafiq when entering a city is always optional.

@MantasasTM I'm not familiar with that glitch (or with the PC version). Sounds like a corrupted save game file. That particular Memory Corridor scene is used to "cover" file loads.

I know why people are getting STUCK!!! Here's what you do:

1. go to the most faded out district in your map.

2. to spot a sync point, slimb any building. They're pretty high and easy pickings.

3. If this doesn't work, try as many other viewpoints in that "faded" district on your map. If it doesn't look faded anymore, keep looking. I garuntee this will work!!!

***CONSTELLATION***

YOU CAN MOVE FROM DISTRICT TO DISTRICT!!! Icons do not have to be showing viewpoints all the time. Thumbs up!!!

@dunowen123 Nah, you don't need videos anymore now that you've learned the technique. In MB5 and MB6 just go into the Middle District (doesn't matter what city you're in), get up on a roof and look for a circling eagle. Climb that tower, sync, and you're done.

@babaganuche7 Follow this video and you'll be fine. It's not defective or a glitch. The game stops holding your hand in Memory Block 4 and expects you to find Viewpoints on your own. That's the way it was designed.

Investigations = Eavesdropping, Pickpocketing, Interrogation and Informer (flag or assassination). You've been doing them since Memory Block 2. Starting in MB4, you have to do a minimum of 3 investigations. This video demonstrates how to get them to appear on your map.

First of all, you don't go to Jerusalem in Memory Block 5. There are assassination targets in Damascus and Acre. Pick one.

Then it's the same procedure except you go to the Middle District instead. You don't need me to make a video showing where a viewpoint is. Go to the Middle District, get on a roof and look for a tower with a circling eagle. Climb, synchronize, and boom, you're done.

The answer to your question is in this video. You have to find a new viewpoint that *isn't* on your map. In Memory Block 4, go to the Rich District. In MB6 the Middle District opens up.

That's what Malik says when you've already talked to him but haven't completed your investigations yet.

Are you on Memory Block 4? If so, then the Poor District is open. Go to street level and walk due south from the Bureau. Set a user marker in the (blurry) Poor District.

If all else fails, go to Damascus. I have a similar video for Damascus and nobody reports any problems there.
