This "restart from the start and a lot of crap talk" thing reminds me of "Roadkill" achievement in "The Darkness". The difference is, that was a 5 minute talk.

this isnt the only strategie, i did it first go, its actually quite simple, just shoot a flare when u hear the high pitched fast beep sound(the 3rd sound) when ur being targeted, and shoot them after they shoot there flares and after that set of flares clear the area between you and the enemy jet so your missile wont get confused with it. So yes u can kill each one after they shot a flare. So in otherwords u dont need to wait after the 2nd flare like in this video, some shoot 3 at once tho.

Still took me a while - don't be put off even if you can't do it with this video first time. His first missile is a little early, and got caught up in flares 3 times for me. Make sure all flares are out of that outer green circle on the HUD in all instances and it will work!

this video is by far the best for getting this achievement. It was the only video I could find with audio cues all the others told you to sink the video with the game but used visual cues and that is almost impossible. I have never gone to these lengths to get an achievement. Thanks again

In real life, if they were launching now, right then and there, they wouldn't be taking their sweet time walking to the flight deck. They'de be running and go through the pre-flight check in 2 minutes flat. I think that is one major reason that the intro is so long. They tried to make this as realistic as possible, and i think they did a great job overall But theres just this one flaw that drives everyone nuts when they try to get the trophy/achievement..

works great! it took me a sec to realize that both rings on the targeting system target the jets and FLARES! so to everyone that is stuck it might be that reason, make sure when you fire a missile after the enemy deploys flares to make sure that none of the flares are in the two rings or it will miss the shot.
