i disagree smashing321 yes its a stupid thing to do leaving tha freir on but if u accually watch the news they said it could have been any thing witch is allot and u lame it on the fat frier shame on u it could have been caused by electricity the fat friers vadilism ithas been warmy latily so it could have been a natural fire

Don't "the pier the doesn't have soul" Yes it can be rebuilt but it won't be the same. My late grandad worked there for a number of years and whenever i go up there it always brings back those thoughts of him . Not to mention all the childhood memories i have of going up there.

i just hope this will kick the council etc into improving the town a bit more. It's a shame when a town like ours have only one decent place to visit. Now that has gone what is there?

It's such a shame, I went only last week with my partner to ride the dodge'ms and the go karts, they were really improving the pier, yes it still had a lot of work to be done, but damn, what's a place without a little bit of history, eh? Gonna really miss that place. I wonder what will happen to all the staff, hope they get placed in new jobs. Hope they rebuild it soon! Peace XxX

Aww... my earliest memories are of weston pier. I loved it there! Was awesome. Thats sad and I cant believe it was entirely up in flames!!! My mum said this morning but i didnt think it was completely gone! Thats unbelieveable!
