Wow. I am playing this in an orchestra and it is the most difficult piece we have ever encountered. >_< This fabulous orchestra makes it seem beautifully easy. Bravo and bravo again!
Ok, I´m sorry. I shouldn´t have answered that way.
The point is that this song means a lot for me because of personal reasons, that's why i cried. I felt you was laughing about me. I´m sorry again. Good luck
Everyone Needs to know that this is a YOUTH symphony. It is AMAZING that this orchestra is so precise and musical. THese kids are only in high school.
this is AWESOME. but... erm... how old do u hafta be to enter? DO U HAFTA BE HAWAIIAN?!?! cuz im good at piano. but i mite me too young. HOW TO JOIN? (as long as its only over the summer.) hehehe. heh.... (shuts up)
since I was in High school I never hear the right tune of this piece...there are some note which we are omitted...finally this was really great...magnificent...keep it up...guyzzz...
i'm actually the principal trumpet in the orchestra right now, and it's my senior year. you should really shoot for this orchestra, hopefully one day you will be a member of it :]
this group is world class. i am so glad i stumbled upon this video. the intonation and musical integrity displayed in this piece is phenomenal. a truly gifted group of young people. don quixote!
Back in the summer of 1967 I attended SYMS (Summer Youth Music School) at UNH in Durham NH. This was one of the pieces we did. Your wonderful rendition sent shivers down my spine. Great job!
I was in a high school production of La Mancha 10 years ago...the opening of this is the exact same as the overture, and it sent shivers down my spine. Great Job!!
Overall a very good performance. Good for a high school youth symphony. Some VERY minor tone issues, but your dynamics and style make up for it. I should know, I play in the Anchorage YOuth Symphony. I wish our director would have good music selections like Hawaii does. I really enjoyed going to the performance when i visisted all the relatives back home.
thanks for posting this!! made me want to be in YS1 again...and yeah...we not only played the short version in 2001-2002 but also the whole man of la mancha in 2002-2003..crazy huh
Oh man! I love that song... If I'm not mistaken that was one of Mr. Miyamura's favorites in the 2002-2003 concert season. I guess he likes to repeat his "winners."

Esto también se conoce como "Idealismo" en la cultura occidental. Uno no sabe esta emoción hasta que hay un día. ¿no?

This was incredibly awesome. The Man of La Mancha is my second favorite movie next to Braveheart. I want to do this in a field show now.
northwoodband19 2 years ago
Braveheart was a such a shitty movie, i don't understand the dualism to see those two next to eachother on any list.
