I think he MIGHT be taken care of permanently if Megatron had the thought to remove the arms and legs from the body though, so Starscream'd just be a immoble complaining torso, but I guess Megatron didn't think of that. @battybuddy The AllSpark fragment in his head simulates the "immortal" thing G1 Starscream had. TFA Starscream _did_ lose his arms, legs and entire body and was still online as just a head (see: Transwarped), just as Bulkhead and Sentinel Prime were functioning as head after their run-in with the Headmaster. He was not killed until Prowl and Jazz recalled the fragment to reconstitute the AllSpark.

@AeonMagnus Yeah- I actually just saw his death after I saw this (I wasn't able to see too much of Animated when it was on) the only real difference is Animated Starscreams always in the same main body, whereas G1 Starscream could do that whole possession thing.

G1 Starscream had plenty of comic relief moments too: "Ow! My foot!", "What's the matter? Aren't you glad to see us?", "I'm stupid, I'm stupid!", "Ah! Get these things off me!"... and so forth.
