What's your CPU. FA is REALLY CPU bound.

@zabadibzabzab A good CPU is what you need. A core 2 duo E8500 would probably chew it up. Others are right in saying the game is mainly cpu bound. You could have 100 graphics cards in SLI and it wouldn't do jack.

Another suggestion is to play multiplayer rather than single player. AI is what uses up a lot of the CPU, so in multiplayer you don't have to be running any AIs.

galactic war isnt a mod. its like a galactic conquest mode made seperatly by these french guys. its good, but hard to download.

What hardware do you have? Supcom doesn't look nearly this good on mine.

Intel E6750, Gigabyte GF 8600GTS, 2GB RAM. You don't need anything more than that to run this game well. In fact that graphics card came with Supreme Commander free! :)  Recording by playing the replay at -8 speed or so means you can turn all graphics settings to high with no frame rate drop.

I don't have the software (or expertise) for adding in special effects. Everything you see in these 3 videos is recorded straight from the game (using fraps). The only effects (if you'd even call them that) are cross-fading, and slowing down playspeed in a few scenes. I don't think the engineers make a ripple under any graphics settings.
