It's the fact that they messed up when trying to explain it. If you have something strange happen, don't explain it, because that opens you up to being wrong.

We know things that happen sometimes in films or videos online can't happen, but we don't moan about it, since it's for the purpose of entertainment. I can't suspend disbelief of something that is explicitly incorrect. If a comedy sketch revolved around the premise that 2+3=4, it wouldn't work.
