They say HR 1495 is redundant? They fail to understand that making a LAW requiring this audits is NOT redundant. It just means when the audit is done it is now done under the LAW. The IMF questions were the nail in the coffin. They did not give a clear answer. If no encumbrance occurred, how exactly are we pledging the IMF the gold? This really does need to be explored.

Clearly something is amis here. Partial audits, auditors not fully understanding the auditor role and responsibility, and accountability issues. I pray this commitee gets to the bottom of this and soon. I hate to say it; but this is a-typical government dodging these issues. I would like to know how much these guys get to audit the gold because it seems to me to be a waste of money. I guess I will have to wait for the answer.
