@linylu I think because when she sang it at the late show with David Letterman, she wasnt just simply singing a song, but was telling about the relationship she had with her father. People wrongly assume she sang about her husband - i actually think she sang for her father. And the words "she has won" just do not add to her personal story so she omitted them; but that is just my opinion

Rihanna has her own mics, and Steven Tyler puts scarves around his mic stands. You have to use your own mic for particular voices, and since hers is so strong, she needs her own personalized one. Why not use a mic that looks nice while you're at it? People have been doing it for years, stop complaining.
