one of the excuses the mac haters put up is that is a lot more expensive, well yeah, but this is a computer that is ready right out of thebox, with graphics card installed, wi-fi, loaded with useful software, no viruses at all, if you purchase things you need for a pc it probably ends up costing the same if not more.

hahahahah my laptop is a toshiba satellite L305 S5919 350$ i paid for it it made a 1774 on geek bench i had to replace my hdd this week and i upgraded the ram from 2gb to 4gb and its fast for a cheapey when that macbook air is what a 1700$

I'm looking to get a new laptop/computer. The problem with the 13'' Mac Book Pro is that the screen is too small for my liking, and the 15'' & 17'' are just too expensive. So i'm considering an iMac. However, some reviews are telling me that it is not reliable and there's display problems as well as hardware problems with it? I'm wondering if this is true, or if the iMac is really worth buying, because i really like it. I want the 21.5 inch 3.06 GHz, would this be a good move?

@iamirshehu A mac being unreliable? A mac will last you 3 times longer than a pc, pcs get more viruses and spam, plus you can run windows on a mac, and i am a pc user.

@aVEzPz i dont think you can buy or upgrade mbp to use amd because apples logic board ships with the processor already fixed to it, you could strip the guts from a mbp and perhaps put in an amd mobo but then it wouldnt be a mac anymore.

@chickenpoper Obviously, if you want real performance, go with the imac. If you want everyone to look at you and say "what an idiot", get an air. If you want the portability, go with the macbook pro. The 15" is the best size. Its not too small, but not crazy big like the 17.

I would run a benchmark vid also but all of my macs have decided to die for some reason or another. 2 died for no aparent reason when the gpus decided to just quit after 3 years. Didnt overheat or anything. And the other ones screen backlight gave up. Yet my 11 year old dell inspiron 7000 is still going great... Really makes me sad because of how much I loved using them. Oh well windows 7 is just as great.
