What is better, the TD-10 or the the DTXtreme iis?

I like the sounds of both .. but these have 3 zone pads and more sounds .. and it's cheaper used ..

@angeriod The DTXtreme has a 100 kits, like the TD-9K2.

I now have a TD9KX2 (upgraded and stuff), because the dtxtreme was just a bit too old.

The sound of the pads is very loud btw.

And the PCY's had some annoying flaws after a while, I had to open them. (no choke, no 3 zone etc.)

If I were you, I'd get the TD-9K(2?) With superior drummer, awesome sounds!

Nel senso io vorrei acquistare una batteria elettronica e arrivo dal mondo delle acustiche. Ho notato che tra roland e yamaha a parità di prezzo la yamaha è di maggior qualità, però ero indeciso sul modello. Stavo valutando che attorno a 1200 euro che sarebbe l'importo che vorrei spendere ora, c'é la yamaha dtxpress iv special come nuovo, oppure la dtxtreme iis usata. Tu cosa mi consiglieresti?

@SACILCOCCO io avevo questa batteria e adesso ho una roland tdk9...la roland è sicuramente superiore e più affidabile...cmq tutte le batterie elettroniche col tempo danno problemi...

This kit you can find on ebay for under $2000...the new kit, DTXtreme IIIS, close to double that. But its so much more badass.

does anyone know if the dtx iv has the same awesomeness as the dtx iis? i mean, can it do the same thing akira does? like program songs and load new sounds? coz all i can do with the dtx iv is make a new drum kit and play along with songs... i hate manuals!

They've stopped making this a while ago, something to do with the type of solder they use being illegal/toxic or something... Anyway, they're meant to be announcing something big (DTXtreme III?) at winter NAMM in about a month.

You can get the full dvd from your local Yamaha electronic drum dealer. There is also the DTXplorer and the DTXpress 3 plus some playing from Akira Jimbo too.
