Steve killed himself I really hated to hear that when he done it, Thanks for this clip:0

  • what the hell ever -6 um i think you need to get your shit out of here

  • Fred Satterfield is the drummer. Now there's a good ol'e Palmdale High guy.

  • Bit of trivia the accordian player was a member of Jimmy C. Newmans band for years. Really nice man. This brings back my memories from when i lived in Nashville during this time. to have those days back and TNN back!

  • Actually, I liked this song when it first came out, but, now it brings back sad memories, at least the Pittsburgh part. I was with my son for 12 days at the VA hospital in that city, awaiting a liver transplant. Sadly,my 29 yr. old son died w/o receiving one. I was alone 1,500 miles from home when the Doc called and I rushed over.I spent 6 hrs. with him before he died. The worst day of my life saying good-bye to my precious son in a strange city which is Pittsburgh.

  • sorry for your loss.god be with the both of you.

  • Comment removed

  • Haven't heard this song in many, many years. I remembered my family loved it because we were from Pittsburgh where the Monongahela and the Ohio run.

  • They didn't do anything to Steve. He had a lot of personal issues going on and that is why he did what he did. Don't ever blame the rest of the Band for that. As for Golden he wanted to try the solo route for awhile they didn't drive him away. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't bother posting.

  • Duane and Richard are both looking sexy!

I love the Oaks, this video is so much fan, you just wanna get up and dance!

  • Awesome video by a very awesome group! Thanks for sharing it!

  • This video is so 80's but it's a good tune!

  • I used to love this song, back in the day. I actually got to meet Joe and Richard, back when my mom used to stalk them, haha.

  • wlg returned to the Oak Ridge Boys after a 10 year hiatus 1/96...SS...left mortality 6/98 ...Stevev...RIP...

  • William Lee returned after a 8 year hiatus, left in 87 came back, will he was voted out of the group then came back in Jan of 1995, that seems about right.

Steve left the Oaks a few hours right before the where supposed to do a live concert, and Duane Allen's son was called and he flew down and helped them out into William cameback into the group.

    I love the Oaks!

  • This tune and video are just too great for the room. You can't watch this video and not smile. Thanks for posting it!

  • omg, what a vid...guess i oughtta take to the river, wash these blues away...or something.

  • TO ; UniversalMusicGroup = THANKS !!! = This is one of The

Greatest " FEEL GOOD " just RELAX and ENJOY LIFE !!! Video's ever ....Steve Sanders at the Apogee of his tooooo short career...RIP...We miss you !!!

  • I still like them better with William Lee!!!!

  • A great song to listen to anytime - thanks for posting !

  • ^This is the true story, he was a manic depressive and killed himself 6/10/1998.

  • If you guys want to see what William looked like before he grew that beard and long hair. Look up, "Your The One In A Millon" here on youtube.

  • Where did William go? Did he have a fight with them or something?

  • The way it was told to me. The others where fed up with his looks and fired him. But he later filed a lawsuit against them and they where forced to bring him back. Anyway didn't have a choice since Steve Sanders killed himself.

  • Wow thanks I never knew that. I guess they didn't like the beard.

  • did't this singer, steve sanders, kill himself in the mid 90's?

  • You do know that Steve killed himself right?

  • Actually he shot himself in the head, at his home in Cape Coral, FL

  • Thank you for telling me that..I thought I had heard he had died from cancer--well..I am an ex-cocaine addict and alcholic--I know how bad the addiction can be..thanks again..

  • Had he already been kicked off the Oak Ridge Boys? or did he resign his position? Why didn't they just go w 5?

  • The Oak Ridge Quartet is the original name. They sing 4 part harmony, and the wanted him out. No way were they going to use 5 people.

  • How come their drummer Fred Satterfield was replaced by William Lee Golden's son? Does anyone know?

  • Steve Sanders did not die of cancer, as everyone here has already said he died from a self inflicted gunshot. I know that and everyone else know thats.

You need to get your facts stright.

    R.I.P Steve Sanders

  • Love the fact Freddie is in it

  • Yeah I miss Freddie

I Jill - say hi to your Mom and Aunt Jackie

  • Will do, but don't know who you are.

  • I have a video on youtube of my cousins band and I check it out. Open Your Eyes mjl1111

  • Love the fact Freddie is in it

  • That's NOT freddie, that's Joe, I really hope you know that.

  • Freddie is the drummer. I know who Joe is

  • sorry, thought you thought Joe was Freddie Mercury.

  • Who else could come up with a song with the name of the Monongahela River in it....

  • my favorite oaks song of all time. huge #1 for the oaks.^skoal man^

  • I haven't heard this song in so long - thanks for posting it!

  • that was funny when he fell in the water!!!!

  • Ah, but he didn't FALL...he was THROWN!

  • He didn't fall, they all chucked him in!!

  • i think this is the best song that they did, it had that cajun, blues type sound to this song

  • Omg...I had all but forgot about this song. I love it!

  • Love that video...especially the chatter at the beginning! And that camcorder sure dates it! LOL

  • I never was a big fan of the Singin' Steve days They just didn't have the magic they did with William Lee but that was a good time video and a decent song RIP Steve, but welcome back William Lee

  • ORB havin some fun! Why do I think it humorous that the lowest singer there is playing the tambourine, one of the highest instruments?

  • uuum papa mow mow! holy shit thats a lot of hair.. great song tho!
