  • These fruits are considered to have negative calories (if you don't eat too much) because the process of eating and digesting itself burns calories. When you subtract the calories burned from the calories of the fruit, it will yield a negative value.

  • I'm on this apple diet right now!Every third hour i eat an apple to keep my digestion going! And at like lunch or dinner i eat a low calorie meal, like a salad or something. With this i work out atleast 2 hours a day, and try to be below 700 calories a day.

  • I love negative calorie foods and have lost plenty of weight on my version of this diet. Just have to stick with it or you will gain it back. Good vid!

  • I don't think that's completely true because most of those fruits are high in calories.

  • @CrynOut yes but not as much as fried chickens, pizza, nuggets etc. Fats need to be burnt to digest fruits and vegetables. That's why we have to eat fruits to lose weight.

Everything has calories in it, but many of them are very low in calories (i.e. strawberries, roughly 4 cal per regular sized strawberry) so your body burns more calories in the process of digesting them than they actually contain. There is a lot of controversy about whether or not negative calorie foods are effective for weight loss, but I think they make for good snacks as long as your diet stays balanced!
