I liked it lots. I tell ya the balloon idea really got the point across nicely.
What if the guy and girl kissed and everything got colorful and fast paced and as they did things together the color slowly faded back out. Finally the pace would eventually return to slow and they bought some balloons.
Stunning...absolutely stunning! The atmposphere reminds me so much of "Pi". Excellent job! I love the shot of him coming up the escalator with the balloon. Keep the films comming!!!!
I don't know if I could really answer that question. I guess it was really just a way of expressing how I felt at the time that I made the film; it came naturally. Normally when I'm writing a screenplay, I find it a frustrating exercise -- it's often like fighting a battle with your mind, as artsy-fartsy as that probably sounds, and writer's block can often be an unflinching adversary.
In the case of 'Untitled', as soon as I sat down to write the screenplay, it just kinda poured out of me. The concept of the film was to acknowledge the importance of diversity by observing a world from which it had been removed -- ultimately I feel the film conveys much more than that, though I cannot really attribute it to my thoughts or ideas, but to the ease with which filmmaking allows one to visually represent how life feels sometimes.
The only other 'song' used in the video was a recording of 'House of the Rising Sun' by Cobalt Party Revolution. If you check out www.cobaltpartyrevolution.com there is a link to a page somewhere to download it. All other music was original score created in Garageband.

That's... a little cliche, and (I'm not the author but) the loneliness of the piece is a very important part.

Fantastic video! Do you have a song list for it? (Apart from that one Celine Dion thing, of course.)
