@YuGiOhReviews China in no way is a communist state economically anymore and neither is Cuba entirely for that matter. Had Castro not allowed tourism and the allowance of the US dollar to circulate within Cuba right after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Cuba would have collapsed as well. You get rid of the trade embargo between the US and Cuba and allow the flow of investment both ways (capitalism) both countries and the people are better off.

@tagaphon Communism is not just: "every one works as much and as good he can and gets everything he wants." That's a part of communism, but do you even know how communism works? It eliminates the upper class. So everyone has an equal say. Sounds really good. But that causes arguements and fights and eventually the people decide to put a singler person in power. Making an upper class. Communism fails. It sounds good in theory, but fails in practice.

As u noticed it was the method to fight the last crisis was. And exactly after Marx's these crisis's follow each other. U r absolutely right that any state needs ruling.Other thing this ruling can be not inherited as in capitalism. The children of Stalin,Khruschov,Brezhnev,Gorbachov weren't upper class.US

@tagaphon You misunderstand. Communism can't maintain it's economy and communist nations like Cuba have to use Capitalists policies to stay afloat. Obama is a Socialist, (very similer to communism), and is making the economy worse. Like Socalist Greece and Spain. They're economies are going down.

@TheEnglishRedcoat Cuba is blocked by US for 50 years. Many Iraqi starved after 2 or 3 years of such blockade, while Cuba is still wealthier than many of its neighbours. Neither Greece, nor Spain r socialist: no state owned plants etc. Obama is no more socialist than I'm Pope. Nationlizing industry and banks, really socialist way of economy is the only way to save US from crisis.There many fully socialist countries with big part of economy state owned, such as Brazil which r successful.

@tagaphon Saying that Cuba is wealthier that it's neighbours is not saying much.. Cuba has to use apitalist policies to stay afloat because communism had failed them. Communism does not believe in making a profit. Spain and Greece are not Socialist? Yes they are. Thier leaders are socialist and they use socialist policies and look at what happened to Greece. Spain is not that far behind. Sweeden is Scoialist and is doing well, but that is because it has many exports. Obama is in fact a Socialist

Even Lenin wrote about that 100 years ago and free market was used in USSR in the 20s, is used in China, Brazil, SAR and many others. Being called socialist doesn't mean they r really socialist. Hitler was such "socialist". Socialism of rulers means not spending but nationalization.

But u must invent definition for society in Brazil, Venezuela, China, Vietnam where most important industry belongs to the state and there is bright democracy. After Lenin it had to be called socialism, while Greece, Spain and now Sweden are surely capitalist (after Palme most Swedish state owned enterprises were privatized).

@YuGiOhReviews China in no way is a communist state economically anymore and neither is Cuba entirely for that matter. Had Castro not allowed tourism and the allowance of the US dollar to circulate within Cuba right after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Cuba would have collapsed as well. You get rid of the trade embargo between the US and Cuba and allow the flow of investment both ways (capitalism) both countries and the people are better off.
