  • Moen is a real Warrior, one of the only good things left in Montreal!

  • Nice that both trainers came off to help!

  • a real fighter, he only missed one game! Travis Moen is my favourite Canadiens player!

  • One word. V-I-S-O-R

  • All NHL players are millionairs. They can take the risk of a cut. Man up, your a pro for a reason. The only place pros become bigger fags is soccer. And I play the sport.

  • ill stick with watching it on tv or playin it safe with my buds :)

  • @melfriend7 Come on man, of course they do. Its professional hockey. They have doctors, psychologists, coaches. their team comes fully equipped and getting a job in one of these organizations requires qualifications.

  • could someone answer this question do trainers not only in hockey but in all sports have to have some kind of medical training to there job today thank you.

  • that aint nothin compared to what happened to Clint Malarchuk

  • if you google "travis moen skate cut"

you can see a pic of the cut. Soo close to the eyeballs.

  • reminds me richard zednik's accident....

  • i was at that game :), i started to cry :(

  • @BalletFreakTv Really?

  • @Videos5197 yeee no joke

  • I bet Moen shit im self

  • @CammyFoSho Or a true hockey player... dont have to be Canadian

  • @CammyFoSho americans got plenty of passion for this game too brah

  • google pictures of this injury. it was so close to his eye.

  • Fuckin ow, man. I'm not even that squeamish of a person and that just makes my skin crawl. :|

  • he missed only one game, travis moen is a warrior!

  • I was at this game lol

  • for fuck sakes

  • Ur obviously and idiont cuz the angel the skate came it would have cut him badly like koivu he had a eye injury he wore a visor. Ur a moron dude know a thing or two about hockey

  • get out of here you duster

  • march 22 1989 same thing but it was to the neck and it was a goalie player team players where blues vs sabres exactly 20 years laters but less dangerous

  • 21 years dude...

    but yeah it's freak

  • clint malarchuk was the goalie, who actually recently suffered a self inflicted gun shot wound under the chin, apparently accidental

  • @therockacrossthepond - women's curling is the only curling that kicks butt over ice hockey, but not men's curling...

  • I like how Cullen just jumps out of the way rather than take the hit. There's a rule about players not being allowed to jump (lift skates from the surface of the ice) to hit a player. Of course this isn't the case, but if Cullen had taken the hit like a man, everyone would be alright. I guess that's today's hockey... hey!

  • did he died?

  • I huge hockey fan go blackhawks

  • That's hocky u hav to acept. It a dangerous spirt I play it I het cut bruised deyfdreted

  • who won :D

  • Moen is tough knowing him this will not change his mind about not wearing a visor. He'll be back out there with just a regular helmet and some stiches. That's hockey for ya.

  • Damn.. is he gonna be okay? That's pretty nasty..

  • awesome comment!

  • this is why ping pong is the safest sport!

    PING PONG FTW!

  • Yeah I agree, Ping Pong's awesome but not so safe when someone hit the ball, and it goes straigth in your mouth. :D

  • I've seen people pull their muscle while playing ping pong no lie !!!

  • this is why i dont play hockey

  • GO CANADA. dont diss our sport. i completely agree with you!

  • That's scary!

  • well if the damn NHL players wouldent be so stuck up and jusst wear the full face helmets you wear in minor hockey this shit wouldent happen

  • cages = bad, visors = good, the full cages make players feel invincible.

  • @NHLArchive I was so ready to say "why aren't they fucking wearing cages anymore?!?!" But you made a good point.

  • @NHLArchive Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard... Theres one difference, they dont risk getting their faces destroyed

  • @uffe91 you are wrong

  • @NHLArchive well a player that played for my local team in uk dived in front of the puck and got hit right in the eye! hes not got one eye and no hockey carer!

  • @Kiiirk92 I agree. Besides, a full cage has great vision and it's fully ventilated.

  • some visors cover the whole face, its just a player preference

  • @Kiiirk92 they are not allowed to wear cages because then you can't see there face, which is important in the NHL for the fans.

  • @48hockeyrules27 and becuase players lose respect and their sense of danger with cages

  • @NHLArchive so i guess the nhl and players just care for looks

  • @48hockeyrules27 and because players lose respect and their sense of danger with cages

  • @NHLArchive No. I am sorry, but that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard. There is no reason to be vulnerable in your face. Maybe seat belts should be banned as well to decrease the number of accidents? Correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure players in college wears cages. They seem to handle that pretty good.

  • @48hockeyrules27 Where do you get your information??? There ARE several players currently using the full cage right now in the NHL....

  • @DonCapone313 ya cuz something happened to there faces, is there is nothing wrong with your face then you can't wear one

  • @48hockeyrules27 ive seen players wear a cage/fish bowl before hell manny just wore won the hole time he was in the playoffs....cages do not make u feel invincible....unless your the size of like chara or someone and if u lose respect for someone who wears one then you can go fuck yourself lets put it this way if it was inforced to wear ether a cage or a fish bowl manny wouldnt have injuryed his eye aswell as many others

  • @Kiiirk92 They don't wear cages because it impairs their vision and they are extremely uncomfortable. I think they should all wear a half shield though, you pretty much have to in the Olympics now.

  • @angeldarklcd IMPAIRS THIER VISION??? are you fucking mental!!! why would they have the minor kids wear them if it impairs thier vision??? stupidist thing iv ever heard, like fuck have you ever wore a full cage helmet? you can see everything!!! plus its a moral boost because you feel like its protecting your face!!!! enough of thies stupid fucks who say it impairs thier vision! like fuck stupidist thing ever

  • @Kiiirk92 Are you 12, that was a completely retarded and unnecessary response. I simply stated why. I mean if you have ever worn a full cage and tried a visor you wouldn't likely go back. You are able to see better and visors are so comfortable compared to cages. I'm sure there is a "coolness" factor that comes into play since the are professionals as well.

  • @Kiiirk92 I have worn a cage, and now wear a half shield. I don't feel anymore vulnerable now because I'm not a moron and keep my head up. Sure there is a possibility I could get hit in the face, but after 5 years of wearing a shield I still haven't had a major facial injury. When I played in high school my cage actually cut my chin and I had to get stitches, it is a dangerous sport either way.

You just need to grow up. What I said was my opinion and personal experiences anyway.

  • @Kiiirk92

all these bullshit reasons why they can't wear a cage, or clear shield is ridiculous....this sport has grown so much over the last 20 years that it should be manditory for players to wear them...the game is much faster and the players are much bigger...and these players are getting paid millions of dollars a year now, so why would an owner not want to protect his investment? I mean really...

  • @Kiiirk92 hey champ these boys are big boys now its time to cut the cord and let them make their own decisions ok cupcake? if they want they can wear full cages but hey what do i know

  • @H0ck3ykid12 yeah you apparently know shit all, if they would jusst wear the full cage's they would never have to worry about a skate or a puck smoking them in the teeth.

  • oh for some readon i thought it said "eyeball cut by skate, i dont know why

  • Oh shit but he nailed him fukin good. almost did a flip lol

  • its called a Visor

  • you can even see he feels bad immediately after the hit...

  • Hockey is the best sport ever. Period.

  • Well for one thing its called Ice hockey, not hockey because there is at least 10 hockey codes. Also, it can't be the best sport seeing as there is only 64 member nations. Compared to soccer which has over 200.

  • did he died?

  • Quick answer, no they haven't and they are idiots.

  • Good luck trying to justify anything to trolls haha

  • yea 50 stiches but his eye is ok. should play thursday

  • LMFAO YESS :D

  • thats disgusting.

  • @thamiks i hear ya

  • hey bonghead 5 and o0th3Jok3R0o hockey is the best better than any of ur fuckin sports !

  • @hick4life95 Nah...curling kicks but over hockey :) But that's beside the point.

  • @therockacrossthepond you know what....... hockey kicks ass !!!!! and curling is as exciting to watch as ummm how do i say......... TENNIS !

  • he didn't have injury to the eyes.

  • and people think the nfl is tougher... no way jose!

  • wasn't his eye, He got 50 stitches ti the forehead.

  • too close to a zednik situation

  • OUCH

  • soo wat appened to that guy after like hes he gonna play or not

  • sweet scar...good for picking up bitches

  • Pretty terrifying, I'm surprised shit like this doesnt happen more often.

  • Absolutely not Cullens fault at all!

  • I heard he got 50 stitches.

  • ouch

  • Wooow

  • ya it wasent on purpuse and to the players its not that bad hockey players arent little pusys like basketball players orfootball players they are men

ohh and bytheway GO HABS GO

  • holy shit <_<

  • the way to be safe is to don a visor .....

glad he is ok and didnt cut him any lower

  • Visors rock! Some of those wannabe tough guys say visors are for pussies but at least those who wear one see with both eyes.

  • honestly ive watched the replay over and over and it looked like cullen did this on purpose

his leg was lifted under his own power it looks like he got upset that he was going to get hit

  • Man is the NHL getting more dangerous or what

  • This is why everybody should use visors.

  • OVER 9000

  • that wasn't even funny 4 years ago. guess what? yep, still not funny.

  • omg hope hes okay

  • did he die?

  • No, he got OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!

  • You know what's smart...

    ...wearing a visor.

  • imagine it went just a bit lower , wow , it would of been a horrible , horrible incident

  • Robert Lang missed half the season last year when someone's skate lacerated his Achilles. Andre Markov missed half the season this year when Price's skate cut tendons in his ankle. Now Moen gets kicked in the face. Bad luck with skates lately!

  • Didnt Zednik get his jugular severed last year as well?

  • Kicked?

  • @AccurateGaming

When someone's foot goes flying up and hits you in the head, I call it getting kicked.

  • moen went to the hospital and got 50 stiches above his eye no damage but he wont be joining his team against buffalo

  • i read that jaques martin coach of montreal canadiens saw him in the hospital today 50 STICHES :O wow... no damage to the eye (Y) thank god for that but he wont be playing against buffalo tomorrow

  • thank God it wasn't any lower

  • 50 stitches... What a warrior!!!

  • 50 stitches & his eyelid was cut very close call, he'll be OK.

  • 50 stiches cut.... he will miss the game against Buffalo.

  • oh shit..

  • I'm sure the first thought in his head was the injuries that happened to fellow former teammates Cam Ward and Joe Corvo. Matt probably felt awful. :(

  • That happens so fast you dont even realize it

  • From now, Travis Moen never used to miss a game... I was scared. I don't think that Habs will find someone to replace him. Habs need a guy like him to survive in the playoffs... But they had a good reaction to bring him out of the ice. Just to make it clear, it's just on the forehead. Jacques Martin said his eyes are just fine. Except that, boring game. Habs were just boring to watch.

  • and idiots like Don Cherry still think wearing a visor is for sissy's.

  • shit was he wearing a visor?

  • So scary.....surprised it doesn't happen more often but thank God it does not. Hope he is ok.

  • are you serious?

  • @ KrYsTaLiSeD what video where u watching? only fear i saw in his eyes was the worry about Moen..

  • ??? Not really, he didn't do it on purpose.

  • Yeah, that's what it must have been. Because when Moen hit Cullen, Cullen intended to get knocked feet over arse so that his skate would cut Moen. Strong sense that you're a Habs fan. Hence the comment that makes no sense.

  • @KrYsTaLiSeD No, the players know that a guy getting his face cut by a skate is a freak accident...I think Cullen was just concerned about how Moen was.

  • are you retarded..

  • I think he was more anxious about what he did and if he had cause major damages... I'm a habs fan and although it is nasty, it was clean: it was NOT Cullen's fault so there was no reason for him to be fought...

  • yea I was there and we weren't aware of what's going on but we saw the blood on ice

  • Scary stuff, I know Moen will probably get that stitched up and not miss a game, it's the kinda great guy he is....wow that is so scary though, imagine if that were actually his eye...makes you shiver it's that awful to think about.

  • I hope so! I want a full lineup against Buffalo!

  • @KrisMTL Yeah no kidding, we've had what..3 games with a full lineup??

  • markov was injured at the first game so...no game with a full lineup this year!!

  • I don't get why players can't keep their legs from going head high. It just doesn't seem like a normal reaction. Cullen still kept one of his legs on the ice as well

  • @darkphoenix2 your an idiot an obviously never played hockey, when you get hit and your off balance like he was you have no control over your extremities. arms and legs go every which way, it was not on purpose it was an accident and you can tell cullen was upset. by the way i hate both the senetors and canadians. im a bruins fan.

  • @jasond9474 Settle down, spaz...you're right, I HAVEN'T played hockey. I was just remarking that it seems weird they can stop their legs from going up so high. I'm sure if players were thinking about it, you could control it a little bit. I also never said Cullen did it on purpose.

  • @jasond9474 So I guess your hockey season will be over soon.

  • @darkphoenix2 Buddy, Cullen was falling forward after being hit and that's the way he fell. There is no way he would do it on purpose. Hockey players have a mutual respect for one another.

  • @buttahbean2 I know...I didn't say he did it on purpose.

But I'm not so sure about the respect thing. How do you explain all the head shots, knee on knees, etc. in the game today?

  • This was scary watching on TV, but Cullen should try harder to control his skates, he kind of jumped.

  • might be a bit hard to control your skates after some tackle and when you loose the control fo your body.

  • They just said on TV that he's "ok", apparently he didn't need to go at the hospital and he was able to receive the first aid from the team's medical staff.

  • I hope he will return soon !! :O

  • danm

  • Scary shit. Hope he's ok.

  • @IceHockeyJedi 54 stitches later he was.
