  • im not french but are french people outrage about how their soldiers were treated by the vietminh after they surrender at dien bien phu? Making them march for almost 200 miles to prison camps near china border and hardly giving them food like one small rice bag a day. I think around 18,000 french surrender, only less than 4,000 came back to france. It would had been better for them to fight to the death than to surrender and died slowly

  • @reddog2007max

Why should French people be outraged? They could have prevented the whole thing but did not. Again, there is no one to blame but the politicians and the French officers in charge. The French have this curious habit of consistently underestimating the abilities of their opponent, especially those from so called 'third world' countries.Only idiots would choose air support to a position which was overlooked by higher ground. It's all history now thank goodness.

  • fuck it, look at the history they stole canada, america, and declare freedom by saying but in fact they are no freedom, they control that land and out source the natural rich terrain for they own gain. Man when i think of it that make me sick.

  • The worst about this is the french people.

French Army always does outstanding job but there are leftist people at home sabotaging everything.

Democracy at home unfortunately kills any serious military undertaking

  • We do not want war. We want freedom. I'm Vietnamese.

  • i wanna say, fuck all the hater that telling bad thing about VN and French army, We VN want to have freedom, many VNmese soldiers were lost that day and the French soldiers too. For the French, they just follow the order, i feel sad about every lives were lost. So fuck all hater and troller, if you dont understand history so just GTFO.

P/S: sorry for my bad English grammar.

  • @whgamer11 thank you for your comment whgamer, its true, the french soldiers didnt want to go to fight in vietnam, it was the wish of the politicians , as usual,im french and i say colonisation was very bad, the vietnamese were right to fight for their freedom, i went to vietnam last summer, its an amazing country , im glad now france and vietnam have a very good relationship

  • @streetmusicdefrance u dont need to thank me for that, i just care about the history true, not some shitty lies just to humiliate a country.

  • J'admire le courage du soldat au Vietnam

  • @vladimir2147 , ha ha ha loser cries everyday about this battle

  • @vladimir2147 Merci Vladimir / Thanks Vladomir / Spasibo Vladimir

  • FUCK VIETNAM

  • @usa466 , lolz the VietNamese win....

  • @usa466 bitch please... your USA army has lost in VN war too, jealous!?

  • Unlike American prejudiced view of French military, the French defenders at Dien Bien Phu put up a bloody fight. But they found, as Americans found out 15 years later, the Viets were determined to die for their freedom and thus the defeat at Dien Bien Phu. Soldiers on both sides of the conflict did their jobs well. In the end it showed colonialism and servitude had no place in modern world.

  • @Knguyen281 Thanks. Encouraging to see some enlightenment amongst all the trolling, hatred, chestpounding, stupid nationalist vanity and drivel on Youtube.

The French military is a fine fighting force, but nothing can keep down a people's dream of self-determination. I could have wished the French would have seen that and created a commonwealth instead; with autonomy for all its colonies, but strong ties and cooperation still.

  • Serious fighting!!!!

  • oublier et abandoner a dien bien phu gloire au pilot et aux gars qui on sauté sur dien bien phu a l'attitude inferieure au largage sans brevet de para

  • oublier et abandoner a dien bien phu

  • Read He'll in a Small Place by Bernard Fall. The French troops showed unimaginable bravery after being placed in a very difficult position. Vive La France!

  • @glasfurd31 fuck you and the french!

  • @glasfurd31 I agree and love the French military, but we have to admit that the Vietnameese showed a lot of courage as well. Just imagine having no field hospitals at all and facing napalm burns...

  • @glasfurd31 They have no choice but to be brave. They have now where to run. They are in the defensive. It is the vietmin that are braver. they attack knowing that they will be shoot by entrenched french fries when they can wait for them to starve and die of injury. They could have just bombard them with cannons.

  • @glasfurd31 the french????

the foreign legion and the auxiliary troops who die in mass were brave in the war and in the siege the french only show they suberb as always

the war was lost before dien bien phu this was a pathetic show of arrogance

put a fucking fort in the middle of the jungle with no air support and with only a airlift for the supplies(neutralized by the vietnamese antiaircraft)

    come on be realistic!

  • Look at this Katiusha asshole

  • look at those French pigs

  • @KatiushaVN4 Not cool to say. The French were not pigs.

  • @KatiushaVN4 dude, not cool at all to said that.

  • @whgamer11

    Not cool??? Aren't you Vietnamese?

  • @KatiushaVN4 Yup i'm VNmese but hey, is history, the French army do what the goverment order, is not there fault to attacked us. Said those old French's Goverment from the past. And i know french people knew that thier goverment was wrong that time, and we all VNmese know that they feel bad too, not only us.

  • @whgamer11

Are you pro-French? Excuse me, how old are you?

  • @KatiushaVN4 age is not important, but u wanna know, i'm 18.
